A quick connector includes a valve body and a rotatable ring fitting over the valve body. The rotatable ring is rotatable with respect to the valve body. When a sealing member of the rotatable ring is rotated to a full open position, an exit end and an entrance end of the valve body are both encompassed by an opening of the sealing member and communicating with each other. When the sealing member is rotated from the full open position to a full close position, one of the exit end and the entrance end is moved out of the opening and blocked by the sealing member, so that the entrance end and the exit end do not communicate with each other.

A device for connecting pneumatic tools to a manipulator is described. The device includes a main body fixable to a manipulator and provided with seats for corresponding coupling portions of a tool, at least one duct for feeding or suctioning a working fluid to/from the tool, the duct extends in the main body, and an engaging mechanism to engage to tool. The engaging mechanism is movable between a locked position and an unlocked position in order to respectively prevent or allow the detachment of the tool. Advantageously, the engaging mechanism further acts as a valve for opening and closing the duct and is provided with a vent to the atmosphere through which the pressure of the working fluid in the tool is automatically brought to the atmospheric pressure when the engaging mechanism is in the unlocked position.

The coil spring comprises a valve support portion supporting the valve element, a secured portion secured to an inner peripheral surface of the fluid passage, an expanding-contracting portion extending from the secured portion, and a connecting portion between the expanding-contracting portion and the valve support portion. The connecting portion comprises a first portion curved so as to pass radially outward of an end winding portion of the expanding-contracting portion, a second portion passing through the center of the valve support portion, a third portion extending curvedly so as to overlap the first portion, and a fourth portion extending to the valve support portion. When the coil spring is compressed, the valve support portion is supported to the expanding-contracting portion 54 through the connecting portion.

A coil spring is disposed in a fluid passage between a cylindrical body and a valve element to urge the valve element toward a closed position. The coil spring comprises a valve support portion supporting the valve element, a secured portion secured to an inner peripheral surface of the fluid passage, an expanding-contracting portion extending from the secured portion, and a connecting portion between the expanding-contracting portion and the valve support portion. The connecting portion comprises a first portion curved so as to pass radially outward of an end winding portion of the expanding-contracting portion, a second portion passing through the center of the valve support portion, a third portion extending curvedly so as to overlap the first portion, and a fourth portion extending to the valve support portion. When the coil spring is compressed, the valve support portion is supported to the expanding-contracting portion 54 through the connecting portion.

Self-closing bag connector

A bag connector system includes a first coupling element, with a self-closing seal and a housing having a fluid inlet port and a fluid outlet port, and a second coupling element, with a housing having a fluid inlet end and a fluid outlet end. The fluid inlet end is configured to displace the self-closing seal when inserted into the fluid outlet port of the first coupling element. A bag connector system optionally includes a locking mechanism to maintain the first coupling element and second coupling element in a coupled state. Uncoupling of the first and second coupling elements results in minimal fluid contamination on the outer surfaces of the coupling elements. The bag connector systems provided herein are included in medical appliances for waste management.
