Method and system for automated installation of welded reinforced thermosetting resin pipe joints
A system and method for automatically jointing of reinforced thermosetting resin (RTR) pipes. For example, an automated installation of RTR joints system may have an inductor and a pig for automated in-field installation of RTR pipes. The inductor may be fitted on an outside of RTR joint. Additionally, the pig may be inserted inside the pipeline and remotely controlled to assist operators during the alignment of the pipes and subsequent joint making/welding. Through the successive inflation and deflation of pneumatic wheels placed along the pig, the pig may autonomously move inside the RTR pipeline (from one RTR joint to the other) during the installation, while also be used to apply internal pressure at specific locations of the pipe, as needed, during installation.
PVC-O pipe
A PVC-O pipe has an axis of symmetry, a main longitudinal extension in a direction parallel to the axis from first to second ends, an inner chamber passing from the first to second end and a seal, positioned in a respective housing seat, with circumferential extension relative to the axis. The seal has an inner surface, facing the inner chamber, and an outer surface, facing the housing seat. The outer surface has first and second contiguous portions defining a cusp. The first and second portions are inclined relative to a parallel direction by respective acute angles. The inner chamber has a taper leading externally at the first end, having a divergent shape. The taper has an inclination relative to the parallel direction equal to an acute angle whose value relates to the value of the acute angle of the first portion, relative to the parallel direction.

Polymer pipe, a pipe joint insert device, a pipe joint assembly, and methods of forming same
A polymer pipe has a length between a first end and a second end. The length and the first end have a first diameter and the second end is a belled end having a second diameter larger than the first diameter. An insert device is received or pre-installed within the second end and has an annular body with a seal part coupled to the annular body and a spline groove formed in the annular body and facing radially inward. Another polymer pipe is inserted in the belled end to form a pipe joint assembly and has a mating spline groove on the outer surface. The spline groove and mating spline groove axially align and receive a spline therein to axially interlock the two polymer pipes to form a pipe joint assembly.

Side wall seal for piping
A side wall seal for piping comprising an annular ring adapted to be attached to a building sidewall, an annular wall extending outwardly from said annular ring and having a seam in said annular wall, a first ear extending outwardly from the annular wall adjacent a first side of the seam and a second ear extending outwardly from the annular wall adjacent a second side of the seam, and a closure mechanism for closing the seam around said piping. A wedge member may be used with the side wall seal to angle the piping downward.
