Flow control valve
10386004 · 2019-08-20 ·

Disclosed is a flow control valve 100. The flow control valve 100 comprises a cylindrical body 20, a piston 40, at least one fluid seal 60, a handle 60 and a nut 90. The flow control valve 100 is connected between an inlet and an outlet of a pipe to control flow of liquid/gases passing there through even at high temperature and pressure. The flow control valve 100 provides good force to the liquid/gas passing there through and provides an equal distribution of the flow at the outlet without resulting in pressure drop.

Pressurized fluid line deresonator

A deresonated fluid system may include a pressurizable fluid line having distal, opposite line ends with the fluid line extending between the line ends. A source may be configured to apply variations in pressure of fluid in the fluid line having a frequency appropriate for producing a standing wave in the fluid line between the line ends. A fluid coupler having opposite first and second coupler ends may be attached to the fluid line in a medial portion of the fluid line between the line ends. A flow acceleration ramp may be formed about an inside of the first coupler end. An artificial acoustic shoulder may be formed about an inside of the second coupler end. The artificial acoustic shoulder may define a substantially central orifice in fluid communication with the flow acceleration ramp.

Methods and apparatuses to moderate an airflow

Methods and apparatus to reduce instabilities and/or turbulence of an airflow of a HVAC system are described. The method may include positioning an airflow moderating zone in an airflow passage to reduce instabilities and/or turbulence in the airflow. Apparatuses to create the airflow moderating zone are also provided. The apparatus may be configured to have a plurality of openings and an airflow resistance structure so as to provide airflow resistance to instabilities and/or turbulence in the airflow. The airflow moderating zone may be, for example, a sheet-like material including a plurality of openings.

Fluid transport pipe

The invention relates to a fluid transport pipe. A first unit channel in which a channel cross-sectional area continuously decreases toward a downstream side and a second unit channel in which a channel cross-sectional area continuously increases toward the downstream side are alternately combined. A ratio A (=L/{[Smax].sup.1/2-[Smin].sup.1/2}) is set within a range in which a drag reduction rate R.sub.D becomes a positive value. The fluid transport pipe includes: a first opening formed in a channel wall of the first unit channel; a second opening formed in a channel wall of the second unit channel; and a bypass channel that allows by-passing of a flow from the first unit channel to the second unit channel through the openings.

COMBINATION GAS PULSATION DAMPENER, CROSS AND STRAINER

An apparatus and method provide for a hybrid pulsation dampener. The hybrid pulsation dampener includes an inlet, a flow-through reactive dampener, a gas charged pulsation dampener, and an outlet. The inlet receives a fluid. The flow-through reactive dampener dampens the received fluid. The gas charged pulsation dampener further dampens the dampened fluid as the received fluid flows through the flow-through reactive dampener. The outlet discharges the further dampened fluid.

Sanitary component, namely jet regulator or jet former for flowing, fluid media, method of producing such a sanitary component and use of a sanitary component

The invention relates to a sanitary component, namely a stream regulator or stream former for flowing fluid media, consisting of property-defining components in a sandwich-like arrangement in the direction of flow which comprise at least one screen attachment, one diffuser plate assembly as well as a shell body having segments of stream-forming openings extending across its cross-sectional surface. The property-defining components are exchangeable and combinable so as to realize adaptability to different user and user requirements. A locking means is provided e.g. on the inner circumference of the shell body for this purpose as is a corresponding counter-locking means on the outer circumference of the diffuser plate assembly. The diffuser plate assembly exhibits, at least on its exterior, a flow rate class-specifying optical code and the shell body exhibits a stream type-specifying, namely laminar or aerated, optical code.

Erosion-resistant fluid pressure reduction device

A fluid pressure reduction device is provided. The fluid pressure reduction device includes a body and a diffuser. The body defines an inlet, an outlet, and a fluid passageway extending between the inlet and the outlet. The body is made of a first material having a first hardness. A seating area is defined within the body. The diffuser is removably coupled to the seating area and disposed within the fluid passageway of the body. The diffuser defines at least one flowpath for reducing a pressure of a fluid flowing through the fluid passageway. The diffuser includes a second material having a second hardness greater than the first hardness of the first material.
