VEHICLE SILENCER
20180149122 · 2018-05-31 · ·

The invention relates to a vehicle silencer (1) for a charge air line of an internal combustion engine having a turbocharger (7), comprising: at least a first housing part (2) and a second housing part (3), wherein the housing parts (2, 3) are coupled to each other in a connection region (4) and form an outer casing (13) of the vehicle silencer (1); a resonator inner element (14), which is retained in at least one of the housing parts (2, 3), wherein at least a first (10) and a second resonator chamber (11) are formed by the two housing parts (2, 3) and the resonator inner element (14). The resonator inner element (14) has at least a first external retaining segment (50) in the region of an outer periphery (44) of the resonator inner element (14). A retaining groove (30) is formed in the first end wall (16) and/or in the second end wall (28), in which retaining grove the retaining segment (50) is accommodated.

Device for damping pressure pulsations for a compressor of a caseous fluid

A process for manufacturing a device and the device for damping pressure pulsations for a compressor of a gaseous fluid, in particular a refrigerant, in a refrigerant circuit of a motor vehicle air-conditioning system. The device exhibits a housing that encompasses a chamber and features at least two outlet openings. Here, the housing is constructed between tubular connecting lines, whose ends are aligned with one another. An insert element for reducing the cross-sectional area of the pass-through opening is arranged inside at least one of the pass-through openings.

A deresonated fluid system may include a pressurizable fluid line having distal, opposite line ends with the fluid line extending between the line ends. A source may be configured to apply variations in pressure of fluid in the fluid line having a frequency appropriate for producing a standing wave in the fluid line between the line ends. A fluid coupler having opposite first and second coupler ends may be attached to the fluid line in a medial portion of the fluid line between the line ends. A flow acceleration ramp may be formed about an inside of the first coupler end. An artificial acoustic shoulder may be formed about an inside of the second coupler end. The artificial acoustic shoulder may define a substantially central orifice in fluid communication with the flow acceleration ramp.
