LOCKING CAP FOR FIRE DEPARTMENT CONNECTIONS

A locking cap may be selectively locked into place within a tubular opening, such as the open end of a standpipe used to charge a building sprinkler system. The locking cap may have a plug portion. A friction load can be used to limit the unauthorized removal of the plug portion.

Bushing shield for fire detection

A bushing shield is used primarily but not exclusively in a commercial kitchen fire suppression system where pipes and EMT (electric metallic tube) carry detection line cables from a fusible link to a detection control. The bushing shield includes a guide bushing and a vapor barrier. The bushing shield minimizes grease vapors and foreign contaminant migration into a pipe or EMT of the commercial kitchen fire suppression system by forming a barrier, while simultaneously allowing the detection line cable to slide back and forth as intended by the fire suppression system manufacturer.

Clamp assembly

The present embodiments relate to a novel clamping assembly. More specifically, present embodiments relate to a clamping assembly for blind flange installation which provides an air tight seal for piping applications including, but not limited to, low pressure high-density polyethylene (HDPE) piping applications.

HYDRANT NOZZLE CAP SPACER

A nozzle cap spacer for a hydrant nozzle cap includes a spacer body defining an outer edge and an inner edge, the inner edge defining an opening formed through a center of the spacer body; and a leak path notch formed in the spacer body, the leak path notch extending radially inward from the outer edge of the spacer body.

HYDRANT NOZZLE CAP SPACER

A nozzle cap spacer for a hydrant nozzle cap includes a substantially planar spacer body defining an outer body edge; and a resilient spacer spring arm extending from the outer body edge at a proximal arm end, the spacer spring arm configurable in an extended orientation and a compressed orientation, the spacer spring arm biased to the extended orientation; wherein, in the extended orientation, the nozzle cap spacer defines a substantially oblong shape, and in the compressed orientation, the nozzle cap spacer defines a substantially circular shape

A pipe connector includes a pipe fitting including a passageway extending between upstream and downstream ends. An annular seat is formed within the passageway. A grommet includes a cylindrical portion and a conical portion extending from the cylindrical portion. A passageway extends through the cylindrical conical portions. With the grommet disposed within the passageway of the pipe fitting spaced from the upstream end, the cylindrical portion engages the annular seat and the conical portion extends along an inner wall of the pipe fitting between the annular seat and the downstream end. When an upstream pipe is received through the upstream end and along the passageway of the grommet, the conical portion compresses between and seals against the upstream pipe and the inner wall. With the downstream end of the pipe fitting connected to a downstream pipe, the pipe fitting and grommet fluidly connect the upstream pipe and the downstream pipe.

A system for mounting an adapter on a main flexible pipe for connecting a branch pipe is described, including a fitting having an externally threaded shank and a widened base which can be inserted in a hole of the pipe and can be fixed by a first ring nut screwed on the threaded shank, wherein the system includes a tool for inserting the fitting in the hole and for tightening the first ring nut, and wherein on the adapter a second ring nut is provided for fixing the adapter to the fitting.

Bracket for positioning and protecting pipes in concrete

A bracket holds a rigid or flexible tube during the pouring of a concrete slab. The bracket has a base and a housing connected to the base. The tube curves around a first tube support on the housing before passing through an opening in the bottom of the housing. The tube and any members inside the tube are cut off so they end inside the housing and are then covered by a housing cap. The base is fastened to a form for the concrete slab. The height of the housing relative to the base is adjusted to place the cap at the planned surface of the concrete slab. After the concrete slab is formed the cap is removed and the cut members inside the housing are connected to other members or devices.
