Inflatable closing plug for pipes
10252462 · 2019-04-09 · ·

An apparatus for forming an inflatable closing plug has a winding head rotatable around a path defining a winding plane. The winding head is arranged to dispense one or more continuous lines from a supply of line via a guide arrangement. A preform is rotationally supported on an axis at a shallow angle with respect to the winding plane such than the winding plane intersects the preform. By providing a spreading arrangement to locate the windings on the preform over a band having a width perpendicular to the winding plane, a smoother distribution of windings can be achieved.

Expandable pipe stopper

A pipe stopper includes an expandable stopper body defining a stopper cavity and configurable in an expanded configuration and a contracted configuration; a pressure assembly comprising a pressure housing and a piston, the piston slidably engaged with a housing cavity of the pressure housing, the piston operatively connected to the expandable stopper body; and a locking assembly comprising a locking ring movable between a locked configuration and an unlocked configuration, wherein the locking ring is configured to engage the expandable stopper body in the locked configuration to prohibit contraction of the expandable stopper body and to secure the pipe stopper in the expanded configuration.

A method of restricting fluid flow through a pipe. The method comprising installing an anchor through an opening in a wall of the pipe, engaging a portion of the wall with a foot of an anchor, securing a head of the anchor to the pipe, placing a saddle between a bottom surface of the head and an outer surface of the wall of the pipe, and inflating an inflatable plug coupled to the anchor. When securing the head of the anchor to the pipe, the head remains partially outside the pipe.

INFLATABLE SEALANT APPARATUS FOR DRAIN PIPES
20190063660 · 2019-02-28 ·

An apparatus that forms a temporary seal to keep the sections of a drain pipe that are not clogged isolated from the regions that are clogged, is described. The temporary seal prevents high pressure applied in the drain pipe to dissipate over the unclogged sections, to maintain the pressure required to remove the clog. The apparatus includes a bladder attached to one end of a conduit. A dual valve connector is attached to the other end of the conduit. The dual valve connector allows connection of the apparatus to a source for gaseous pressure for inflation of the bladder and, retains the pressurized gas inside the bladder so that the seal is maintained during the removal of the clog.

Hydraulic Manifold Channel Plug

A hydraulic manifold plug includes a plug body defining a longitudinal axis and a transverse axis. The manifold includes at least one receiving hole configured to releasably receive at least one positioning key associated with a manifold press. The plug body includes an opening defined by the plug body. The opening is at an angle with respect to the longitudinal axis. The plug body also includes an inner surface defined by the opening and having a concave shape. The plug body is configured to be positioned in a manifold port extending along the longitudinal axis by way of the at least one receiving hole receiving the at least one positioning key. The one positioning key aligns the plug body such that the transverse axis is substantially parallel to a lateral axis defined by a channel of the manifold that forms an angle with the manifold port.

Device for sealing pipelines

This inventions relates to a plugging machine and a rigid tube provided with a stationary disc integral with the bottom of the tube and oriented almost orthogonal to the tube, with a movable disc paired with the stationary disc. A sealing ring of a resilient material is located between the discs and compressed when the movable disc is pressed against the stationary disc to adhere to an inner surface of the pipeline. The sealing ring is coaxial with respect to the pipeline. The movement of the movable disc is determined by raising or lowering a control rod within the tube by means of sloping sliders made in the lower portion of the rod which engage in respective grooves, likewise sloping, made in an axial shank associated with the movable disc and sliding inside an axial opening of the stationary disc. A component of a force is generated which is parallel to the axis of the discs. The axis is raised or lowered by rotation of a threaded ring engaging in a threading mate at the top of the rod.
