ROLLED CONNECTING SYSTEMS FOR ADJACENT ENDS OF INSULATION TUBING
A rolled connection system for adjacent ends of insulated tubing sections having a substrate roll of continuous release liner. Pressure sensitive transfer adhesive material members configured to conform with the ends of insulated tubing sections to be joined are spaced at selected distances from each other along the length of the continuous release liner. A second release liner covers each pressure sensitive adhesive material member and includes a tab to facilitate removal of the second release liner from the adhesive material members to facilitate joining juxtaposed face portion of the ends of the insulated tubing to be connected.
High temperature insulation system and method
A method includes designing a subsea equipment assembly having an insulation covering an outer surface of at least one equipment unit and a flow path formed through the at least one equipment unit. The designing includes modeling a temperature profile of the subsea equipment assembly having a fluid within the flow path, identifying at least one hot zone along an interface between the insulation and the outer surface, where the at least one hot zone is exposed to temperatures above a degradation temperature of the insulation, and designing at least one cold zone along the interface to border the at least one hot zone, the at least one cold zone exposed to maximum temperatures below the degradation temperature of the insulation.
THERMAL INSULATION
A thermal protection apparatus is disclosed. The thermal protection apparatus may comprise a thermally insulative layer positioned proximate to a portion of a structure having a dimensional transition, wherein the dimensional transition is thermally protected.
CONNECTING SYSTEMS FOR ADJACENT ENDS OF INSULATION TUBING INCLUDING TABBED SEPARATORS
An adhesive assembly for joining adjacent ends of insulation tubing, comprising a layer of pressure-sensitive transfer adhesive material, said layer of pressure-sensitive transfer adhesive material capable of bonding to insulation tubing, whereby when said layer of pressure-sensitive transfer adhesive material is positioned between a first section of insulation tubing and a second section of insulation tubing, said layer of pressure-sensitive transfer adhesive material bonds to both the first section of insulation tubing and the second section of insulation tubing; and a disposable release liner including a release liner tab adapted to hold said layer of pressure-sensitive transfer adhesive material prior to positioning said layer of pressure-sensitive transfer adhesive material between the first section of insulation tubing and the second section of insulation tubing. The seam created when the first section of insulation tubing and the second section of insulation tubing are joined may be covered with tape.
Apparatus and method for sealing an end cap on an insulated pipe system
An apparatus and method for sealing an end cap on an insulated pipe system is provided. A flexible body having a top, a bottom, a first side and a second side acts to prevent the ingress of moisture into an insulated pipe system at the connection between the end cap and the pipe. The top of the flexible body has an end cap receiver. The bottom of the flexible body circumferentially engages the pipe. The flexible body is sealable to the pipe by a sealant. The end cap receiver accepts an edge of an end cap. A flexible band circumferentially engages the flexible body to hold the flexible body on the pipe.
SEAL
A line set seal comprising a pipe sealing end and an insulation sealing end, wherein the insulation sealing end is larger than the pipe sealing end, wherein the pipe sealing end is configured to seal to a pipe, and wherein the insulation sealing end is configured to seal to insulation.
