Cryogenic liquid tank
A cryogenic liquid tank (1) includes a reservoir (5) that includes a bottom portion (5a, 5a1, or 5a2) and a side wall (5b), a support portion (4) that supports the reservoir (5), and an intermediate member (10) that is provided between the reservoir (5) and the support portion (4). The support portion (4) includes an outer support portion (4b) which supports the side wall (5b), and an inner support portion (4a) which is disposed to be adjacent to an inner side of the outer support portion (4b), includes a heat insulating layer formed of an elastic material, and supports the bottom portion (5a, 5a1, or 5a2) of the reservoir (5). A cover portion (9a, 9a1, or 15) covering a boundary between the outer support portion (4b) and the inner support portion (4a) is provided between the support portion (4) and the intermediate member (10).
TANK CONTAINER FOR TRANSPORT AND STORAGE OF CRYOGENIC LIQUEFIED GASES
An insulation arrangement configured to cover a vessel containing a liquified gas is provided. Embodiments include an insulation arrangement including an aerogel composition and a vapor barrier, where the insulation arrangement reduces heat transfer between the ambient environment and the liquified gas. Other embodiments include an insulated clamping device configured to connect a vessel to a framework and a connection system including the insulated clamping device, where the vessel includes the aforementioned insulation arrangement.
Vessel including insulating corner blocks provided with stress relief slots
A sealed and thermally-insulating fluid storage tank includes an angle arrangement placed at the intersection between the first and the second walls. The storage tank also includes a first and a second insulating blocks respectively retained on the first and second walls of the supporting structure and forming a corner of the thermally insulating barrier; and a metal angle structure forming a corner of the sealing membrane which is welded onto the plurality of metal plates of the first and second insulating blocks. Each of the first and second insulating blocks is associated with an adjacent insulating panel via a bridging element. Each of the first and second insulating blocks has at least one first and one second stress-relief slots extending respectively parallel and at right angles to the intersection between the first and the second walls.
Systems and methods for compression pack pipe insulation
An insulation product for a pipe or vessel having at least one aerogel insulation layer, an additional insulation layer positioned around the at least one aerogel insulation layer, and a protective cladding layer surrounding the at least one aerogel insulation layer and the additional insulation layer.
CRYOGENIC LIQUID TANK
A hydrogen storage tank for a hydrogen fueled aircraft. The tank has a wall made of layers of aerogel sections around a hard shell layer, sealed within a flexible outer layer, and having the air removed to form a vacuum. The periphery of each layer section abuts other sections of that layer, but only overlies the periphery of the sections of other layers at individual points. The wall is characterized by a thermal conductivity that is lower near its gravitational top than its gravitational bottom. The tank has two exit passageways, one being direct, and the other passing through a vapor shield that extends through the wall between two layers of aerogel. A control system controls the relative flow through the two passages to regulate the boil-off rate of the tank.
Sealed and thermally insulated tank
A sealed and thermally insulating tank whose wall is fixed to a carrier wall. The tank wall includes a secondary thermal insulation barrier which is retained on the carrier wall and a secondary sealing barrier which is supported by the thermal insulation barrier. There is also a primary insulation barrier which is fixed to the secondary element of the tank by a fastener which is connected to the secondary insulation barrier.
Tank container for transport and storage of cryogenic liquefied gases
The invention relates to a tank container (100; 100) for the transport and storage of cryogenic liquefied gas, comprising a framework (120) and a cylindrical vessel (110) connected to the frames work (120), wherein the vessel (110) is covered by a superinsulation arrangement (130) based on an aerogel composition, and the vessel (110) is connected to the framework (120) by a clamping device (30) which is adapted to allow for a relative movement between the framework (120) and the vessel (110) due to thermal expansion or contraction of the vessel (110).
Multi-stage compression and storage system for use with municipal gaseous supply
A multi-stage gas compression, storage and distribution system utilizing a hydrocarbon gas from a municipal gaseous supply line in a manner that does not affect an operational integrity of said municipal gaseous supply line includes an inlet line fluidly in fluid communication with a supply of hydrocarbon gas at a first pressure, a first compression unit configured to compress the hydrocarbon gas from the inlet line to a second pressure, a first storage vessel configured to receive the hydrocarbon gas from the first compression unit for storage at the second pressure, a second compression unit configured to compress the hydrocarbon gas from the first storage vessel to a third pressure, and a second storage vessel configured to receive the hydrocarbon gas from the second compression unit for storage at the third pressure.
Dewar Vessel Storage Apparatus
A dewar vessel storage apparatus configured to hold at least two dewar vessels containing liquefied gas or cryo-compressed gas, comprising; a box having an outer, thermally insulating, wall; the box comprising a plurality of insulating cavities, each cavity configured to receive a single dewar vessel and is thermally insulated from each other cavity; a thermally insulating closure arrangement configured to close an open end of each cavity; a ventilation assembly comprising at least one conduit within the box configured to provide for venting of gas released from the dewar vessels when stored in the respective cavities of the box, the ventilation assembly configured to provide a gas outlet flow path from each cavity.
