Pressure vessel mounting structure
A pressure vessel mounting structure includes: a manifold including a discharge gas passage branching from a general passage via which a container body communicates with a valve; a fusible plug valve configured to close the discharge gas passage and to, when the fusible plug valve is melted, open the discharge gas passage such that the high-pressure gas is discharged; a case including a bottom face portion covering the container body and the manifold from below in the vehicle up-down direction, the case including a bead placed near the fusible plug valve, the bead being formed by protruding a part of the bottom face portion upward in the vehicle up-down direction; and a communicating opening via which a space under a floor of a vehicle communicates with the fusible plug valve, the communicating opening being formed in a part of the bead, the part facing the fusible plug valve.
Pressure Vessel Assembly and Pressure Vessel System
A pressure vessel arrangement includes a plurality of pressure vessels configured to store fuel, and a valve arrangement with at least one valve and a plurality of tank connectors. In the pressure vessel arrangement each pressure vessel of the plurality of pressure vessels is connected to one of the tank connectors. Further, in the pressure vessel arrangement the valve arrangement connects the tank connectors directly to one another and to the at least one valve, such that a fluid exchange which is not impaired at any time by way of a valve is brought about between the individual pressure vessels.
PRESSURE VESSEL END FITTING RETENTION
A pressure vessel assembly includes a pressure element storing compressed gas and a shell enclosing the pressure element and capture the compressed gas that permeates from the pressure element. The pressure vessel assembly includes an end fitting extending into a cavity of the pressure element and from the pressure element through the shell. The end fitting includes a stem that extends out from the shell in one direction and into the cavity of the pressure element in an opposite direction and a cap that surrounds the pressure element and the stem at a location external to the pressure element. The pressure vessel assembly includes a retention component sustaining engagement of the end fitting with at least one of the pressure element or the shell below a predetermined pressure threshold.
Device for automatically opening/closing gas barrel valve and method therefor
A method for automatically opening or closing a gas barrel valve, includes: loading and aligning a gas barrel in a cabinet; separating an end cap from the gas barrel; screw-coupling a connector holder to a gas spray nozzle, from which the ends cap has been removed; winding a spring around a first shaft by enabling forward rotation of the first shaft while suppressing reverse rotation of the first shaft, which is installed in a valve handle holder so as to idle; opening a valve by enabling reverse rotation of a valve handle of the gas barrel while preventing forward rotation of the valve handle holder; and automatically closing the valve at the time of replacement of the gas barrel or when a gas leak is detected.
SMALL MOLECULE GAS STORAGE ADAPTER
Various embodiments are generally directed to a casing connected to a top cap structure that consists of an adapter flange extending to an adapter barrel that is configured to fit wholly within the casing. The adapter barrel can be separated from the casing by an annulus that is filled to a predetermined annulus pressure while an internal chamber defined by the adapter barrel contains a gas having a small molecular size at a storage pressure that is greater than the predetermined annulus pressure.
SYSTEM HAVING CRYOTANK WITH OFFSET PUMP HOUSING, METHOD OF MAKING AND METHOD OF USING THE SAME
A system and a method for liquefied fuel storage are provided. The system includes a first module including a first outer vessel wall and a cryotank, a second module including a second outer vessel wall and a submerged pump at partially inside the second outer vessel wall, and a third module including a third outer vessel wall. The first, the second, and the third outer vessel walls are connected to provide an enclosure as an outer vessel.
Fuel oxidation system for pressure vessels
A fuel oxidation system including an inlet in fluid communication with an interior of a sealed container, and the sealed container is holding permeated gas released from a pressure vessel within the sealed container. Another inlet is in fluid communication with an environment surrounding the sealed container, and the environment includes oxygen gas (O.sub.2). An oxidation module is in fluid communication with the inlet and the other inlet, and the oxidation module is combining the permeated gas received by the inlet with the oxygen gas (O.sub.2) received by the other inlet to form a preferred substance.
PRESSURIZED GAS SUPPLY AND GAS CYLINDER
A gas source for pressuring sparkling and other beverage containers, e.g., to re-pressurize the container to keep a carbonation level of beverage during storage. A gas cylinder can include a cap with a flange and catch below the flange. The catch can be engaged by a cylinder support to move the cylinder into contact with a piercing element to pierce the gas outlet of the cylinder and form a seal between the cylinder and gas receiver. A pressure indicator can have a single pressure sensor to indicate a capacity of a gas cylinder to deliver pressurized gas and a pressure in a beverage container.
HYDROGEN STORAGE APPARATUS
A hydrogen storage apparatus of a vehicle driven by a fuel cell comprising hydrogen storage tank holding apparatuses 8, 9 having pluralities of hydrogen storage tank insert parts 10. When the replaceable hydrogen storage tank 20 is inserted into the hydrogen storage tank insert part 10, the hydrogen outflow part 28 of the hydrogen storage tank 20 is coupled with the hydrogen inflow part 23 connected to the fuel cell 40. The grippable handle 24 is formed at the end portion of the hydrogen storage tank 20. A work of inserting the hydrogen storage tank 20 into the hydrogen storage tank insert part 10 and a work of coupling the hydrogen inflow part 23 and the hydrogen outflow part 28 is performed by gripping the handle 24.
THERMAL MANAGEMENT IN CONFORMABLE TANKS
A conformable pressure vessel including pressure vessel segments defined by a cavity disposed within a liner. The pressure vessel segments receive and store a gas in a compressed state. Each of the pressure vessel segments includes a first section of the liner having a first diameter and a second section of the liner having a second diameter smaller than the first diameter. The conformable pressure vessel includes a reinforcement layer surrounding the liner, and an inlet in fluid communication with the cavity of the liner. The inlet receives the gas from a gas source. The conformable pressure vessel includes an outlet in fluid communication with the cavity of the liner. The outlet outputs the gas from the pressure vessel segments. The conformable pressure vessel includes a connecting tube in fluid communication with the inlet and the outlet. The connecting tube receives the gas from the outlet.
