HANDLE ASSEMBLY FOR A PORTABLE PRESSURIZED GAS CYLINDER
Provided is a handle assembly for a cylinder. The handle assembly includes a shroud configured to attach to a collar of the cylinder to surround a valve port of the cylinder, the shroud having a first plurality of circumferentially spaced deflectable fingers extending downward in a first direction, and a second plurality of circumferentially spaced deflectable fingers extending upward in a second direction, and a handle configured to attach to the shroud, the handle having a body configured to surround and abut the shroud, and a first plurality of circumferentially spaced openings extending through the body. The first plurality of circumferentially spaced deflectable fingers are deflectable to engage respective openings in the collar to attach the shroud to the collar, and the second plurality of circumferentially spaced deflectable fingers are deflectable to engage a respective one of the first plurality of circumferentially spaced openings in the handle.
HIGH PRESSURE TANK
A high pressure tank includes: a container body including dome parts; a reinforcement layer provided on an outer surface of the container body and including fiber-reinforced resin; and a protective member provided on an outer surface of the reinforcement layer, wherein the protective member includes a first layer disposed at the outer surface of the reinforcement layer that covers at least a part of the dome parts, and a second layer disposed outward of the first layer. The first layer is more deformable due to the same load applied from the outside than the second layer is.
Pressure vessel and method of manufacturing pressure vessel
A pressure vessel includes a vessel main body, a first protective member, and a second protective member. The vessel main body is configured to contain gas inside. The second protective member is configured to exhibit performance that is different from that of the first protective member. One of the first protective member and the second protective member has recesses that the other one of the first protective member and the second protective member does not have at an end on a peak of a domical panel side provided with the one of the first protective member and the second protective member.
Fuel transfer station and refillable fuel cell for fuel transfer station
A fuel transfer station may provide for the refilling of fuel canisters providing fuel to combustion powered equipment. The fuel transfer station may include a base, a frame coupled to the base, a first connection port and a second connection port provided in the base, and fluid flow lines connecting the first connection port and the second connection port. A supply tank may be supported by the frame and detachably connected to the first connection port. A fuel canister to be refilled may be detachably connected to the second connection port. Fuel contained in the supply tank may be selectively supplied to the fuel canister through the fluid flow lines in response to a pressure gradient drawing the fuel into the fuel canister.
Integrated composite mounting structure for use in pressure vessels and pressure vessel systems
A pressure vessel mounting structure (10) includes a plurality of bands (11) made of a composite material cured about the exterior surface (35) of the pressure vessel (30) to form an integral part of the vessel. The bands (11) may be spaced apart from one another to form a crisscrossing helical grid pattern with opposing ends (21) of the bands extending past a respective end (31) of the pressure vessel (30) and toward a longitudinal centreline (33) of the pressure vessel (30) to form a skirt (17). The skirt (17) provides mounting mounts (15) as well as a vertical standing mount for the vessel.
Removable valve guard for ampoules
A fully removable chime or valve guard that can support the container on its top, side and bottom is provided. The removable chime or valve guard provides protection if the container is dropped on its side or top. The protection provided allows the containers to pass a drop test per 49 CFR section 178.603, so the containers can be certified per 49 CFR 178.504.
OXYGEN TANK COVER
A cover and/or decorative cover for an oxygen tank. Covers that encompass or wrap an oxygen tank, oxygen cylinder and/or cart holding or supporting an oxygen tank and/or oxygen cylinder and associated valves, tubing and wiring.
CRYOSPHERE
Methods, apparatus, and device, for a cryogenic storage system that stores and/or transports a liquid or gas at a temperature below ambient temperature. The cryogenic storage system has an enclosure assembly. The cryogenic storage system has a dewar that is positioned within the enclosure assembly. The enclosure assembly may comprise be configured to provide little to no friction between the dewar and the enclosure assembly. The enclosure assembly may be configured for shock absorption and/or vibration damping for the dewar during transferring of the cryogenic storage system.
HYBRID PRESSURE VESSEL WITH PLASTIC LINER
The innovation described herein generally pertains to a system and method related to a pressure vessel including a tank formed of an injected tank liner with co-injected boss and permeation barrier film surrounded by a layer of thermoplastic composite filament winding and a protective jacket disposed thereon that facilitates stacking and portability of the pressure vessel and provides an air passage for convective heat transfer between the tank and the environment.
