Cold-box system and apparatus for power management aboard ships
A cold-box system includes a bulk gas tank, and a plurality of cold-box compartments operationally associated with the bulk gas tank. A cold-box apparatus includes a plurality of cold-box compartments operationally associated with a bulk gas tank. In one embodiment the cold-box compartments may be spaced apart from the tank aboard a waterborne platform. The system and apparatus provide redundancy regarding power aboard ship for the bulk gas tank.
PRESSURIZED GAS CONTAINER WITH AN ELECTRONIC DEVICE AUTOMATICALLY CALCULATING THE EXPIRY DATE OF THE GAS
The invention relates to a pressurized gas container, in particular a gas cylinder, having an internal volume for gas storage, a fluid-distributing valve, a pressure sensor and microprocessor-based control means. The microprocessor-based control means are configured to detect filling of the gas container with gas, by comparing said at least one pressure value measured by the pressure sensor with at least one predefined and stored reference pressure threshold value; then to initiate a timer on the basis of a detection of filling of the gas container with gas; and to trigger a warning when the timer exceeds a given period calculated from the initiation of the timer.
GAS CONTAINER WITH DISPLAY OF THE FLOW AND OF THE CORRESPONDING AUTONOMY
The invention relates to a gas container equipped with a gas distribution valve having an electronic device for measuring gas autonomy. Flow selection means allow a desired gas flow to be selected. The electronic device includes a pressure sensor. Signal processing means allow gas autonomies to be determined on the basis of the pressure signal and of the selectable gas flows. A selection component cooperates with the signal processing means in order to successively display, on data display means and in response to successive digital activations by the user of the selection component, the various selectable flow values and the various corresponding autonomies, with each flow value being simultaneously displayed with a corresponding autonomy.
DEVICE FOR HOLDING A PRESSURE BOTTLE
The invention relates to a device (10) for holding a pressure cylinder, the device (10) having a frame element (12), a cylinder space (14) for receiving a pressure cylinder and at least one band element (16) for securing a pressure cylinder in the cylinder space (14), the band element (16) being connected to the frame element (12), wherein at least one damping element (20) is connected to the band element (16), the damping element (20) being arranged between the cylinder space (14) and the frame element (12). In this way, the invention provides an improved device (10) for holding pressure cylinders, the device (10) preventing oscillations from being transmitted into the cylinder space (14).
VALVE HAVING MEANS TO DETECT A CYLINDER IDENTITY UPON ATTACHMENT
The present invention pertains to a device for controlling a medical gas flow from a cylinder, wherein the device is configured to be releasably attachable to a gas cylinder and wherein the device is capable of identifying a gas cylinder in order to control the opening and closing of a valve comprised in the valve. Accordingly, the device comprises a valve for controlling a gas flow from a gas cylinder, a gas outlet, which is in fluid communication with said valve and positioned downstream of said valve, and a connecting means configured for receiving and releasably connecting a cylinder for providing a fluid connection between a cylinder and said valve. The device furthermore comprises an identifying means for identifying a cylinder, wherein the valve is in communication with the identifying means and is configured to be openable based on the identification of the cylinder.
