Pressure vessel manufacturing method
Provided is a high-pressure vessel manufacturing method including: molding a liner having a pleated part; forming a fiber-reinforced part on an outer circumferential side of the liner; curving the liner and the fiber-reinforced part; and pressurizing and heating the liner and the fiber-reinforced part. In the molding the liner, the height of first pleats of the pleated part that are disposed on the inner side of the curve relative to an axis is set to be smaller than a height of second pleats of the pleated part that are disposed on the outer side of the curve relative to the axis.
Tank systems with an insulation assembly
A storage tank system features a tank made of rigid material and an insulation assembly. The insulation assembly includes an inner membrane and an outer membrane wherein the inner membrane is located within the outer membrane and at least one of the inner membrane and outer membrane is made of a flexible material. An insulation medium is located in a space between the inner membrane and the outer membrane and a vacuum is applied to the space.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING HIGH-PRESSURE TANK, HIGH-PRESSURE TANK MANUFACTURING APPARATUS, AND NON-TRANSITORY STORAGE MEDIUM
A method for manufacturing a high-pressure tank includes an arrangement step of arranging, in a cavity of a mold, an intermediate including a liner and a fiber bundle wound around the liner, and an impregnation step of impregnating the fiber bundle with a molten resin in the cavity by increasing a pressure on the molten resin injected into the cavity. The impregnation step includes a pressure increasing step of increasing an internal pressure of the intermediate when increasing the pressure on the molten resin.
PRESSURE VESSEL BOSS AND PRESSURE VESSEL HAVING SAME
Disclosed are a pressure vessel boss and a pressure vessel having same, the boss comprising: a boss body in which a through hole configured to connect an interior to an exterior of the pressure vessel is formed; and a boss joint portion which surrounds an outer surface of the boss body, radially extends outward, and has an outer surface coming into surface contact with and joined to an opening surface of a liner, wherein the outer surface has a cross-sectional shape having three or more line segments connecting a top to a bottom of the boss joint portion and including at least one convex corner and at least one concave corner.
Composite pressure vessel assembly with an integrated nozzle assembly
A pressure vessel assembly includes a vessel including a wall defining a chamber and a circumferentially continuous lip projecting into the chamber from the wall. The lip defines a through-bore in fluid communication with the chamber. A nozzle assembly including a tube and a flange projecting radially outward from the tube. The tube includes a first portion projecting from the flange and through the through-bore and an opposite second portion projecting outward from the flange. The flange is in contact with the wall and the first portion includes an outer surface having a contour configured to produce sealing friction between the lip and the outer surface.
Bulk metallic glass pressure vessels
A pressure vessel containing a main body with at least one opening. The pressure vessel is made from a BMG material. The pressure vessel may contain an additional part such as a neck, a liner, a rib, a lattice, a fin, and a diaphragm. The pressure vessel may be free of a welded joint in entirety. The pressure vessel may contain multiple parts in the main body, each of which is free of a welded joint. The pressure vessel may be made through thermoplastic forming.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING A PRESSURE ACCUMULATOR
The invention relates to a method for producing a pressure accumulator (1), in particular for accumulating hydrogen in motor vehicles, wherein first of all an inner liner (3) of the pressure reservoir (1) is produced, preferably by means of a plastic blow molding process, wherein subsequently the inner liner (3) is provided, preferably braided, on the outside with a multi-ply reinforcing layer (9) including reinforcement fibers (8), and wherein the reinforcing layer (9) is then impregnated with a resin, preferably an epoxy resin, which, after curing, fixes the position of the reinforcement fibers (8) in the reinforcing layer (9). According to the invention the impregnation takes place from the contact region (K) of the outer surface of the inner liner (3) with the reinforcing layer (9) to the outer region of the reinforcing layer (9).
BIAXIALLY ORIENTED BLOW-MOLDED PRESSURE VESSELS
A method of manufacturing a pressure vessel that includes heating a preform formed of a thermoplastic polymer, inserting a blow pin assembly that includes a bung portion and a plunger portion into an opening of the heated preform, clamping the heated preform between the bung portion and sections of a blow mold, extending the plunger portion into an interior of the heated preform to stretch the heated preform in the blow mold, and blowing air into the stretched preform under pressure to form the pressure vessel such that: (a) the pressure vessel includes a tank having a neck portion, a cylindrical body portion having a diameter of at least about 200 mm, and a bottom portion, (b) at least the thermoplastic polymer in the cylindrical body portion is biaxially oriented, and (c) threads are formed in the neck portion. Also a pressure vessel formed in accordance with the method.
TANK LINER HAVING TWO CYLINDRICAL SECTIONS
A plastic tank liner for the storage of a pressurized fluid includes: two ends; two elongated cylindrical sections, the two cylindrical sections having different diameters; and one connecting section connecting the two cylindrical sections. The connecting section has a concave portion connected to the cylindrical section of smaller diameter, and a convex portion adjacent to the cylindrical section of larger diameter. The convex portion has an isotensoid shape. Two convex domes are located on both ends of the plastic tank liner so that each of the domes is connected to a different cylindrical section.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING FIBER REINFORCED RESIN MOLDED ARTICLE, AND MANUFACTURING DEVICE THEREOF
Provided is a method for manufacturing a fiber reinforced resin molded article capable of distributing the pressure without concentration on the vicinity of the resin inlet and so preventing the deformation of a preform, and such a manufacturing device thereof. The method lowers a lower core as a moving core in a lower mold (first mold) (away from a preform) to let resin flow toward the lower mold (first mold). This distributes the pressure concentrated in the vicinity of the resin inlet and prevents deformation of the preform.
