A second four of the trunnion mounts may be coupled between a rear half of the inner tank and a rear half of the outer tank. The trunnion mount may be further strengthen with a plurality of pie-shaped reinforcing pads welded to each other and to an outer surface of the inner tank.
NON-CONTACT DISPLACEMENT MEASUREMENT FOR CRYOGENIC STABILIZATION
Aspects of the present disclosure relate generally to systems and methods for use in the implementation and/or operation of quantum information processing (QIP) systems, and more particularly, to the implementation and operation of a non-contact displacement measurement technique for cryogenic stabilization in QIP systems.
METHOD FOR EXTRACTING A LIQUID PHASE OF A CRYOGEN FROM A STORAGE DEWAR
A method for extracting a liquid phase of a cryogen comprising the liquid phase and a vapour phase from an interior volume of a storage dewar through an extraction means, utilizing a push gas introduced into the vapour phase of the cryogen through an outlet of a supply line provided between a push gas supply and the interior volume of the storage dewar, the supply line partially extending through the liquid phase within the interior volume.
A STORAGE VESSEL COMPRISING A ONE-PIECE SHAPED BODY OF A POROUS SOLID
The invention is related to a storage vessel (1) comprising a shaped body (3) of a porous solid, wherein the storage vessel (1) comprises a wall (5) with a section (7) comprising at least one inlet (9), wherein the storage vessel (1) has a central axis (11) and the central axis (11) is a longitudinal axis of the storage vessel (1) and/or perpendicular to a cross-sectional area of the at least one inlet (9), wherein the shaped body (3) covers at least 85% of an inner volume (13) of the storage vessel (1) and the shaped body (3) comprises an opening (19) in an axial direction (17), axial referring to the central axis (11) of the storage vessel (1), wherein the opening (19) extends from a first end (21) of the shaped body (3) to an opposing second end (23) of the shaped body (3) and wherein the storage vessel (1) comprises exactly one shaped body (3), which is formed in one piece. The invention is further related to a shaped body and use of the shaped body.
THERMAL PRESSURE RELIEF DEVICE
This invention relates to a safety valve for a pressurised gas cylinder, the valve comprising: (a) a housing comprising a proximal end and a distal end, the housing comprising a conduit which extends through the housing from an inlet at the proximal end to one or more outlets at the distal end, the inlet being connectable to a gas cylinder so that it is capable of providing fluid communication between the conduit and the gas cylinder; (b) a closure member within the conduit which is movable from a closed position in which it substantially seals the inlet to an open position which provides fluid communication through the conduit from the inlet to the one or more outlets at the distal end of the housing; and (c) a thermal release element within the conduit in the form of a fluid-filled glass bulb comprising a first end which abuts a stop on the housing and an opposing second end which abuts a distal side of the closure member in order to hold the closure member in the closed position.
VACUUM INSULATED CRYOGENIC STORAGE VESSEL
A cryogenic vessel includes an outer vessel at least partially formed from a reinforced concrete. The cryogenic vessel further includes an inner vessel disposed in the outer vessel. The cryogenic vessel further includes an airtight liner disposed between the inner vessel and the outer vessel, wherein the liner is anchored to the outer vessel. The cryogenic vessel further includes a vacuum space disposed between the inner vessel and the liner, wherein an insulation material is disposed in the vacuum space.
Method for filling a tank with liquefied gas
Method for filling a liquefied gas tank with pressurized liquefied gas from a source of liquefied gas using a filling apparatus comprising a transfer circuit that is provided with first and second pipes, each connecting between the source via respective first ends and the tank via respective second ends, third and fourth pipes each connecting between the first and second pipes, and a set of valves controlling flows of fluid in the pipes. The tank is depressurized and at least part of the circuit is cooled by transferring pressurized vaporization gas from the tank to the first end of the second pipes via the second end of the second pipe, the third pipe, the first pipe, and the fourth pipe.
CONTAINER FOR PRESSURIZED GAS
Disclosed are articles useful as the body of a container for containing gas under pressure, and containers which comprise the articles to which are affixed valves to control the flow of gas out of the container, wherein the articles comprise a hollow container body, having an external surface and having an opening through which gas can enter or leave the interior of the hollow container body; optionally but preferably a layer of fiber-reinforced polymer around the exterior of the container body, and an external layer of elastomer around and sealed to the external surface of the layer of fiber-reinforced polymer if present or else to the cylinder body.
LOW TEMPERATURE FLUID DUAL STRUCTURE PIPE AND LOW TEMPERATURE FLUID DUAL STRUCTURE STORAGE TANK
A low temperature fluid dual structure pipe includes: an inner pipe through which a low temperature fluid flows; and an outer pipe externally fitted to the inner pipe with a sealed tubular space therebetween. An inactive gas having a melting point and a boiling point each of which is equal to or higher than a temperature of the low temperature fluid is filled in the tubular space between the inner pipe and the outer pipe. When the low temperature fluid flows through the inner pipe, the inactive gas is liquefied or solidified, and therefore, at least one of a liquefied inactive gas layer and a solidified inactive gas layer is formed on an outer peripheral surface of the inner pipe. As a result, a pseudo vacuum layer that is in a substantially vacuum state is formed in the tubular space.
