Liquid storage systems for space vehicles include at least one storage tank including a tank inlet, a tank outlet, and a plurality of liquid storage compartments coupled to each other in series between the tank inlet and the tank outlet. Each liquid storage compartment includes an end plate including a porous outlet at an end of the liquid storage compartment adjacent to another liquid storage compartment. Propulsion systems for space vehicles include at least one such liquid storage tank. Methods of providing a liquid propellant to a thruster of a space vehicle include withdrawing a liquid propellant from a first compartment within a tank and flowing the liquid propellant from a second compartment into the first compartment through a porous element associated with an end plate separating the first compartment from the second compartment.
HYDROGEN FUEL STORAGE AND DELIVERY SYSTEM
A fuel delivery and storage system is provided. A further aspect employs a remote central controller and/or software instructions which receive sensor data from stationary and bulk fuel storage tanks, portable distribution tanks, and end use tanks. Another aspect of the present system senses and transmits tank or hydrogen fuel characteristics including temperature, pressure, filled volume, contaminants, refilling cycle life and environmental hazards. Still another aspect includes a group of hydrogen fuel tanks which is pre-assembled with sensor, valve, microprocessor and transmitter components, at least some of which are within an insulator.
Gas filling method
To provide a gas filling method in which it is possible to estimate a volume of a tank with high accuracy even when the tank has a small volume. A hydrogen filling system includes a hydrogen station having a pressure accumulator of compressed hydrogen gas, a vehicle having a hydrogen tank, a connection tube system that connects the accumulator and the tank, and a flow rate sensor and a station pressure sensor provided on the connection tube system. A hydrogen gas filling method is a method of filling the tank with the hydrogen gas from the pressure accumulator and includes estimating a volume of the hydrogen tank based on detection values of the flow rate sensor and the station pressure sensor and a volume value of the connection tube system, after a start of filling of the hydrogen tank with the hydrogen gas from the pressure accumulator.
HYDROGEN FUELING CONTROL DEVICE AND METHOD
A hydrogen fueling control device and method comprising step S100, obtaining initial parameters of a vehicle-mounted hydrogen reservoir, wherein the initial parameters comprise volume, initial hydrogen pressure, and initial ambient temperature of the vehicle-mounted hydrogen reservoir; step S200, computing a fueling rate and a target pressure for hydrogen fueling according to the initial parameters, wherein the computed fueling rate and target pressure cause the temperature of hydrogen during a hydrogen fueling process to be within a preset safe range; and step S300, controlling a hydrogen fueling station to fuel hydrogen to the vehicle-mounted hydrogen reservoir at the computed fueling rate to the computed target pressure. The control method controls a fueling process by obtaining a fueling rate and a target pressure by means of initial parameters of a vehicle-mounted hydrogen reservoir measured by a hydrogen fueling station, without requiring the real-time communication between the hydrogen fueling station and a vehicle.
Device for controlling charging of hydrogen tank for vehicle
A device for controlling a charging of a hydrogen tank for a vehicle, may efficiently perform a charging of a hydrogen tank regardless of a hydrogen charging protocol for each charging station configured to supply hydrogen to the hydrogen tank by directly controlling a hydrogen charging speed of the hydrogen tank in a vehicle upon charging the hydrogen tank mounted in the vehicle.
Method for filling containers with a filling product
A method for filling a container with a filling product in a filling-product filling system having a control valve, having the steps: a differential pressure Δp.sub.v decreasing across the control valve; and regulating and/or controlling the control valve as a function of the differential pressure Δp.sub.v which has been determined.
Device for supplying pressurized fluid, and pressurized fluid cylinder(s) comprising such a device
Device for supplying pressurized fluid, including a first valve housing an internal fluid circuit, the device including a second valve having an internal circuit and forming a physical entity distinct from the first valve. The first and the second valve including respective coupling members forming a detachable male/female quick-connection system for the second valve on the first valve. The two valves being configured such as to place their internal circuits in communication when the second valve is coupled to the first valve via the quick-connection system.
System and Method for Priority CNG Filling
A method of dispensing compressed natural gas (CNG) includes assigning a first priority to the filling of a first destination tank and assigning a second priority to the filling of a second destination tank. The second priority is lower than the first priority. The method also includes filling the first destination tank from a first CNG source while filling the second destination tank from a second CNG source. The second CNG source provides CNG at a lower pressure relative to the pressure at which the first CNG source provides CNG.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CALCULATING VOLUME OF COMPRESSED GAS STORAGE VESSEL, COMPUTER, AND MEDIUM
Provided are a method and apparatus for calculating a volume of a compressed gas storage vessel, a computer, and a medium. According to the method, three test vessels with known volume and initial pressure are used to establish a pressure equilibrium with a compressed gas storage system, and pressure values in three equilibrium states are respectively detected. In this way, according to the three pressure values and the known volumes and initial pressures, a volume of the compressed gas storage system, a volume of a hose, and a pressure value of the compressed gas storage system in an initial state can be quickly and accurately calculated. By accurately obtaining the volume of the compressed gas storage system, the volume of the hose, and the pressure value of the compressed gas storage system in the initial state, a refueling rate can be increased as much as possible while ensuring safe refueling.
Motor Vehicle Having a Pressure Vessel, and Operating Method for a Motor Vehicle
A motor vehicle with a pressure vessel system includes at least a first pressure vessel arranged in a first region of the motor vehicle and at least one second pressure vessel arranged in a second region of the motor vehicle having a lower intrusion probability than the first region. Fuel is preferentially removed first primarily from the at least one first pressure vessel. When the lower limit of fuel level or fuel temperature is reached in the at least one first pressure vessel, fuel is removed from the at least one second pressure vessel. If the fuel supply rate from the at least one first pressure vessel is lower than an overall fuel supply rate for an energy converter, fuel is removed from the at least one second pressure vessel to meet the overall fuel supply rate needed by the energy converter.
