To identify a theta value that accurately reflects the conditions and performance of a particular tank system, one or more test parameters are determined, and one or more margins associated with one or more test fills of a fuel tank are identified, where each test fill corresponds to a respective test parameter. A proposed theta value for controlling one or more fuel deliveries to the fuel tank is determined based on the test parameters and the margins. In this manner, the theta value enables hydrogen refueling of a compressed gas tank to be improved.

The systems and methods may involve one or more exhaust pumps, each with an exhaust nozzle corresponding to a vehicle exhaust port. Upon engagement with the vehicle exhaust port, the exhaust nozzle may create an air-tight seal between the exhaust nozzle and the vehicle exhaust port. A first pipe may be configured to transport captured exhaust therethrough from the exhaust nozzle to. The captured exhaust may be at least temporarily stored in an exhaust holding tank connected to and in fluid communication with the first pipe.

A hydrogen gas filling method is a method of filling the tank with the hydrogen gas from the pressure accumulator and includes estimating a volume of the hydrogen tank based on detection values of the flow rate sensor and the station pressure sensor and a volume value of the connection tube system, after a start of filling of the hydrogen tank with the hydrogen gas from the pressure accumulator.

The design and structure of an integrated MEMS mass flow meter with a conventional pressure regulator for fuel gas cylinder enabled with wireless data communication is exhibited in this disclosure. The battery-powered MEMS mass flow meter integrated with a pressure sensor, a temperature sensor and a Bluetooth as well as one long-distance communication devices is packed by the conventional fuel gas cylinder mechanical pressure regulator to form a new integrated apparatus. Such an apparatus can digitize the fuel gas consumption supplied by a cylinder to provide such consumption information to the fuel gas cylinder suppliers or the third-party service providers, and will also timely stream the cylinder status such as leakage and location data which will significantly improve the efficiency of fuel gas usage, control, and its supply logistics.

A measured quantity of gas is introduced into a gas reservoir via a filling station including a flow meter. A method for conditioning a liquid cryogen in a tank includes reducing a pressure of the liquid cryogen in the tank for reducing a temperature of the liquid cryogen and condensing any vapor boil-off in the tank for reclaiming the liquid cryogen in the tank.
