Some embodiments of the presently disclosed subject matter relate to a method and system for the real-time calculation of the amount of residual chemical energy in a non-refrigerated, pressurised tank containing liquefied natural gas, without a composition of the liquefied natural gas having to be determined.
Method of filling fuel gas
Decrease speed (gas pressure decrease speed) of fuel gas pressure in an in-vehicle fuel gas container and elapsed time after the fuel gas pressure reaches a predetermined lower limit value are measured. Then, based on the gas pressure decrease speed and the elapsed time, it is determined whether or not a burping occurrence condition where a fuel gas which entered space between an inner layer and an outer layer of the in-vehicle fuel gas container is discharged to the outside of the outer layer is satisfied. If the burping occurrence condition is satisfied, at the time of filling the fuel gas in the in-vehicle fuel gas container, control to prevent detection of the fuel gas by the fuel gas detector is performed.
Calculation of remaining usage time of a gas cylinder
A method for calculating the remaining usage time of a gas cylinder equipped with a pressure reducer, the method comprising the following steps: (a) measuring the pressure of the gas in the cylin-der; (b) calculating the variation of pressure of the gas in the cylinder over time while gas is out-putted; (c) calculating a remaining usage time Tr based on the measured pressure in the cylinder and the calculated variation of pressure. Step (c) takes into account characteristics of the pressure reducer relative to variations of its nominal flow rate along the decrease of its inlet pressure while emptying the cylinder.
Control of a hydrogen refueling station
The invention related to a system for control of a hydrogen refueling station. The control of the hydrogen refueling station is optimized according to a high frequency tank profile in a time period between time A and time B. The high frequency tank profile includes selecting a first of the plurality of vessels as supply to the compressor during at least part of the refueling of the vehicle tank, the selection is based on pressure of hydrogen gas in one or more vessels of the supply storage. The control of the hydrogen refueling station is furthermore optimized according to a low frequency tank profile in a time period between time C and time D. The low frequency tank profile includes preparing one or more hydrogen refueling station components to enable a plurality of vehicle tank refuelings in the subsequent time period between time A and time B.
