Compressed Natural Gas Vehicle Safety System and Method
A multiply-redundant system that prevents a driver from starting and/or moving a vehicle if a compressed natural gas fill system is not correctly and completely disconnected from the vehicle. One or more sensors in combination with one or more optional microswitches combine to lock-out the vehicle's ignition or otherwise prevent it from starting and/or moving. For different levels of safety, different combinations of sensors can be used with the lowest level having a single proximity sensor sensing the presence or absence of a high-pressure fill hose. The highest level of safety being achieved by having separate proximity sensors on the fuel fill hose fitting, the gas cap cover and a manual safety valve along with a redundant microswitch. An optional override that may be restricted as to the number of times it can be used can allow starting with a faulty sensor in order to allow maintenance.
Electronic Gauge
The invention relates to an electronic gauge (I) for use with a compressed gas cylinder (2). The electronic gauge (I) comprises a display interface (4), a pressure sensor (5) having a pressure sensing element (6) and an amplification circuit (7) for amplifying a signal from the pressure sensing element (6), a temperature sensor (8), and a control electronics board (I 0) connected to the display interface (4), the pressure sensing element (6) and the temperature sensor (8). The invention also relates to a method of calculating time remaining until substantially all gas in a compressed gas cylinder (2) has been depleted, and a method of monitoring that a residual pressure valve of a gas cylinder (2) is operational.
LOW EMISSION RECEPTACLES
Low emission nozzles and receptacles are disclosed. A receptacle includes a main body, a first stem, a first poppet connected to the first stem, a valve seat disposed in the main body, a first spring configured to bias the first poppet to a first closed position, a second stem slidingly engaged to the first poppet and the first stem, a second poppet connected to the second stem, and a second spring configured to bias the second poppet to a second closed position.
CRYOSPHERE
Methods, apparatus, and device, for a cryogenic storage system that stores and/or transports a liquid or gas at a temperature below ambient temperature. The cryogenic storage system has an enclosure assembly. The cryogenic storage system has a dewar that is positioned within the enclosure assembly. The enclosure assembly may comprise be configured to provide little to no friction between the dewar and the enclosure assembly. The enclosure assembly may be configured for shock absorption and/or vibration damping for the dewar during transferring of the cryogenic storage system.
Automatic gas cylinder filling system and operating instructions
The disclosure discloses an automatic gas cylinder filling device and an operating method thereof, includes a stand, an electronic scale, a PLC control unit, and a vacuum pump installed on an inner bottom plate of the stand. One side of the stand is provided with an 8-bottle gas cylinder rotating and weighing mechanism, a gas cylinder fixing mechanism, a gas cylinder filling fixture, a lifting frame and a bottle valve hand wheel switch mechanism that are arranged in sequence from bottom to top. The electronic scale is located below the 8-bottle gas cylinder rotating and weighing mechanism. The disclosure is used for filling gas cylinders, wherein the weighing, the fixing of the bottle valve and the rotation of the hand wheel are all automatically controlled and operated by the PLC control unit, and there is no need for operator to stay with the facility. The operation can be completed through operating the PLC control unit in the operation room, thereby preventing the filling personnel from being exposed to danger and harmed during the gas filling process. Meanwhile, the gas filling efficiency is greatly improved, the accuracy of the weighing is also ensured, and the proportion of each gas is highly accurate.
INTEGRATED FILL SYSTEM AND METHOD
An integrated fill system is provided for a vehicle. The integrated fill system can include a receptacle, a cap that mates with the receptacle, and a fill line that is in fluid communication between the receptacle and a container. The integrated fill system can further include a valve between an opening on an end of the container and an end of the fill line to allow one-way fluid communication for entry of compressed material into the container. The integrated fill system can further include a draw line on an opposite end of the container to maintain separate lines for filling and drawing compressed material into/from the container.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR REFUELING A VEHICLE TANK WITH LIQUEFIED PETROLEUM (LP) GAS
A vehicle has a fuel system that includes a controller that determines when the vehicle is in a refuel mode or a run mode based on a connection of a refuel nozzle to a vehicle connection of the vehicle. The controller controls a fuel pump input selector, a vehicle fuel pump, and a fill/run fuel selector such that fuel is pumped from a storage tank external to the vehicle into a vehicle fuel tank by way of the vehicle fuel pump in the refuel mode, and fuel is pumped to an engine of the vehicle from the vehicle fuel tank by way of the vehicle fuel pump in the run mode.
Monitoring apparatus for pressure vessels
The present invention provides a monitoring apparatus for an outlet of a vessel storing gas under pressure. The monitoring apparatus comprises a flow control valve movable to a position between a fully open position and a fully closed position to adjust a flow of gas from the outlet of the vessel, a valve position detector connected to the flow control valve to detect the position of the flow control valve, an internal pressure sensor to sense an internal pressure P.sub.int(t) of the gas in the vessel at different times, a processor, a memory and an alarm. The processor calculates an actual rate of change in pressure dP.sub.int/dt of the gas in the vessel over time, and compares dP.sub.int/dt with an expected rate of change.
