LOW EMISSION NOZZLES AND RECEPTACLES
A receptacle includes a main body, a stem, a poppet connected to the stem and defining an inner check void, a spring configured to bias the poppet to a closed poppet position, and a check assembly at least partially disposed in the inner check void. The check assembly includes a check and a check spring. The check is configured to move relative to the main body. The check spring is configured to bias the check toward a closed check position. The check has a first surface area and the poppet has a second surface area that is larger than the first surface area of the poppet such that a fluid force causes the check to move to an open check position before causing the poppet to move to an open poppet position.
Method and control unit for monitoring a pressure tank system
A method monitors a pressure tank system of a stationary vehicle. The method detects a wake-up situation by use of sensor data of a main sensor of the vehicle. Furthermore, in reaction to the detection of a wake-up situation, the method activates a further resource for detecting and/or for evaluating sensor data with regard to the pressure tank system. Moreover, the method determines, by use of the further resource, whether one or more protective measures are to be carried out in relation to the pressure tank system and/or the surroundings thereof.
System and method for refueling a vehicle tank with liquefied petroleum (LP) gas
A vehicle has a fuel system that includes a controller that determines when the vehicle is in a refuel mode or a run mode based on a connection of a refuel nozzle to a vehicle connection of the vehicle. The controller controls a fuel pump input selector, a vehicle fuel pump, and a fill/run fuel selector such that fuel is pumped from a storage tank external to the vehicle into a vehicle fuel tank by way of the vehicle fuel pump in the refuel mode, and fuel is pumped to an engine of the vehicle from the vehicle fuel tank by way of the vehicle fuel pump in the run mode.
Compressed natural gas vehicle safety system and method
A multiply-redundant system that prevents a driver from starting and/or moving a vehicle if a compressed natural gas fill system is not correctly and completely disconnected from the vehicle. One or more sensors in combination with one or more optional microswitches combine to lock-out the vehicle's ignition or otherwise prevent it from starting and/or moving. For different levels of safety, different combinations of sensors can be used with the lowest level having a single proximity sensor sensing the presence or absence of a high-pressure fill hose. The highest level of safety being achieved by having separate proximity sensors on the fuel fill hose fitting, the gas cap cover and a manual safety valve along with a redundant microswitch. An optional override that may be restricted as to the number of times it can be used can allow starting with a faulty sensor in order to allow maintenance.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR FILLING AN LPG TANK EQUIPPED WITH A SPIT VALVE AND A FILL ASSEMBLY
A method and a system are disclosed for filling an LPG tank equipped with a spit valve and a fill assembly, the method comprising providing an indication of a level in the LPG tank upon detection of a filling vehicle in a vicinity of the LPG tank, the filling vehicle having a filling hose; initiating a filling of the LPG tank once the filling hose is connected to the fill assembly of the LPG tank; determining when a current level reaches a given level in the LPG tank and stopping the providing of the LPG to the LPG tank once the current level reaches the given level in the LPG tank.
LARGE-SCALE HYDROGEN REFUELING STATION
The invention relates to a large-scale hydrogen refueling station comprising at least one supply storage, a plurality of compressor modules comprising a local controller, a plurality of dispenser modules, and a hydrogen production system comprising a hydrogen production system controller mutually connected by one or more flow paths. Wherein one of the controllers facilitates control of valves and thereby flow of hydrogen gas in the flow paths between the at least one supply storage, compressor modules, dispenser modules and hydrogen production system. Wherein the control of the valves enables flow of hydrogen gas in at least three of the flow paths simultaneously.
LNG tank and operation of the same
Disclosed is a liquefied natural gas storage apparatus. The apparatus includes a heat insulated tank and liquefied natural gas contained in the tank. The tank has heat insulation sufficient to maintain liquefied natural gas therein such that most of the liquefied natural gas stays in liquid. The contained liquefied natural gas has a vapor pressure from about 0.3 bar to about 2 bar. The apparatus further includes a safety valve configured to release a part of liquefied natural gas contained in the tank when a vapor pressure of liquefied natural gas within the tank becomes higher than a cut-off pressure. The cut-off pressure is from about 0.3 bar to about 2 bar.
Low emission nozzles and receptacles
A nozzle for dispensing fluid includes a probe slidably disposed in a main body. The probe has a probe body defining a check sealing surface and a check void. A check assembly is at least partially disposed in the check void, and includes a check configured to move relative to the main body and the probe body. A spring is configured to bias the check to sealingly engage the check against the check sealing surface of the probe body.
GAS SUPPLY APPARATUS
A gas supply apparatus includes: a mounting portion installed on a cabinet; a gas supply portion installed on the mounting portion so as to be raisable and lowerable; and a gas container fixing portion fixing a gas container to the gas supply portion, wherein the gas supply portion includes a compressed gas association (CGA) fastening module that is installed on the mounting portion and is detachable from the gas container, and the CGA fastening module includes: a case; an end cap housing rotatably installed on the case; a CGA connector housing installed on the case so as to be disposed adjacent to the end cap housing; a gasket detection sensor installed on a sensor installation mount of the case and disposed under the CGA connector housing; and a power transmission portion spaced apart from the end cap housing and connected to the end cap housing and the CGA connector housing.
DIGITALLY MONITORING OF COMPOSITE PRESSURE VESSEL
System and method for digitally monitoring a pressure vessel for holding compressed gas, wherein the system comprises a sensor unit placeable on the pressure vessel for gathering information regarding the condition of the pressure vessel, a communication unit for wirelessly communicating the gathered information to a receiver wherein the sensor unit comprises a temperature sensor for measuring the temperature of the pressure vessel, a gas pressure sensor, at least one power unit for supplying power to the sensors and the communication unit.
