Method for measuring fluid level in liquid hydrogen tank and liquid hydrogen storage system
An amount Y of liquid hydrogen that has passed through a first valve and has been volatilized during a predetermined time after first and second valves are opened is calculated by using a pressure P0 in an internal space of a liquid hydrogen tank measured before the two valves are opened, a pressure P1 in the internal space measured after the lapse of the predetermined time since the two valves are opened, and an amount X of the gaseous hydrogen that has passed through the second valve during the predetermined time. A fluid level H of the liquid hydrogen in the liquid hydrogen tank after the lapse of the predetermined time since the two valves are opened is calculated by using a expression showing a relationship between the H and an amount Y1 of the liquid hydrogen that passes through the first valve and drops therefrom, and the Y.
PRESSURE TESTING METHOD AND PRESSURE TESTER
A pressure testing method capable of determining with a higher accuracy whether a high-pressure tank is deteriorated. The pressure testing method tests the high-pressure tank that includes a liner and a fiber-reinforced resin layer covering the outer surface of the liner and that has been used while repeating charge and discharge of gas to and from the inside thereof after undergoing a pressure resistance test conducted at a pressure resistance test pressure. The method increases the internal pressure of the high-pressure tank filled with gas to a test pressure that is lower than the pressure resistance test pressure, so that a plurality of AE waveforms is extracted from output waveforms of an AE sensor that detects AE waves generated in the high-pressure tank, and determines whether the high-pressure tank is deteriorated, on the basis of the extracted AE waveforms.
HYDROGEN STORAGE DEVICE AND VEHICLE
A hydrogen storage device is included in a vehicle and is configured to store hydrogen. The hydrogen storage device includes: a plurality of receptacles configured such that a nozzle of the hydrogen filling device is connected thereto; a plurality of hydrogen tanks; a flow path through which hydrogen flows; a solenoid valve located in the flow path; and a control device. The flow path includes an independent first flow path and an independent second flow path. By opening and closing the solenoid valve, the independent first and second flow paths are switched between a state in which they communicate with each other and a state in which they do not communicate with each other. The control device is configured to control the solenoid valve and configured to perform a calculation for determining whether to open or close the solenoid valve, based on a condition of the hydrogen filling device.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR HYDROGEN FUEL DISPENSING
An apparatus for hydrogen dispensing can be configured to generate a display to be output visually to a customer that may use a dispenser to fill a fuel tank with hydrogen fuel. The display can include a graphical user interface or other interface that can show the customer information about the dispensing of fuel that is being provided to the user. This displayed information can include information to indicate an estimated time remaining to fully fill a vehicle's fuel tank so the customer can have visual and/or audible indications for how much longer the customer may have to wait to have the vehicle's fuel tank filled for continued use of the dispenser. This can improve the customer's experience at the fueling station. For instance, embodiments can allow the customer to more effectively use the fueling station and manage his or her time at the fueling station.
GAS FILLING SYSTEM
A gas filling system includes a receiver that receives a temperature in a high pressure container measured by a temperature sensor by communication, and a flow rate control device that controls a flow rate of gas for filling, a pressure sensor that measures a pressure of gas for filling, and a controller. The controller controls the flow rate control device such that the high pressure container is filled with the gas at a preset first pressure rise rate, until a filling rate of the high pressure container reaches a preset first target filling rate, and the high pressure container is filled with the gas at a preset second pressure rise rate lower than the first pressure rise rate, until the filling rate of the high pressure container reaches, from the first target filling rate, a preset second target filling rate higher than the first target filling rate.
