When the fuel lid is opened, the ventilation port is opened to the exterior of the vehicle body, whereas when the fuel lid is closed, the ventilation port is covered by the fuel lid in a state in which the ventilation port is allowed to communicate with the exterior of the vehicle body.
SYSTEM FOR CIRCULATING AIR THROUGH DOUBLE PIPES FOR SUPPLYING GAS AND AIR CIRCULATION METHOD USING SAME
A system for circulating air through double pipes for supplying gas, includes double pipes connected to a gas handling device and supplied with gas; a gas supply unit for supplying gas to the gas handling device through an inner pipe of the double pipes; an air supply unit for supplying air through an outer pipe of the double pipes; and an air suctioning means for suctioning and circulating the air, which is supplied to the outer pipe by the air supply unit, by the introduction of a high pressure fluid. Rather than circulating air through the outer pipe of the double pipes by a fan, air can be circulated through the double pipes for gas supply by a simpler structure and more effective configuration.
VENTED FITTING FOR PRESSURE VESSEL BOSS
An apparatus is configured to be positioned between a boss and a shell of a pressure vessel. The boss includes a bore therethrough, and the bore has a longitudinal axis. The apparatus includes an annular body and a gas permeable feature. The annular body includes an inner surface configured to abut the boss and an outer surface configured to abut the shell. The annular body has opposite first and second ends relative to the longitudinal axis. The gas permeable feature is provided on the inner surface and extends at least from the first end to the second end. The disclosure also describes a pressure vessel including a shell, and boss, and an apparatus positioned between the boss and the shell. A method for forming a pressure vessel includes mounting a boss on a mandrel, positioning an annular fitting about a neck of the boss, forming a liner, and forming an outer shell.
Pressure vessel liner venting via nanotextured surface
A pressure vessel has a first end with a first boss, the first boss having a first outer surface. The vessel includes a liner having a second outer surface, a shell disposed over the second outer surface, and a first vent. The first vent is formed onto at least a portion of the first outer surface and at least a portion of the second outer surface. The first vent includes a texture that provides a higher rate of gas flow through the first vent than through a portion of an interface of the liner and shell lacking the texture. In another aspect, a pressure vessel has a first end and a second end, a plurality of first longitudinal vents and a plurality of second longitudinal vents. At least one of first longitudinal vents is circumferentially offset around the pressure vessel from at least one of the second longitudinal vents.
HIGH-PRESSURE TANK AND ATTACHMENT STRUCTURE THEREOF
A high-pressure tank includes: a liner made of resin and including a tubular body portion and a pair of dome-shaped side end portions provided in the opposite ends of the body portion; and a fiber reinforced resin layer made of a fiber reinforced resin and covering an outer peripheral surface of the liner. The fiber reinforced resin layer is formed by winding a fiber bundle impregnated with a resin, and an outer peripheral surface of the fiber reinforced resin layer is covered with a resin layer made of a resin. A part of the fiber reinforced resin layer includes a protrusion portion by continuously winding the fiber bundle in an overlapped manner along the circumferential direction of the body portion the part of the fiber reinforced resin layer covering the body portion.
PRESSURE VESSEL HAVING GROOVED LINER
Pressure vessels having a grooved liner and methods of forming the same are described. The pressure vessel includes a liner surrounding a cavity therein, an outer surface of the liner disposed opposite the cavity, a boss disposed at a first end of the liner, a composite layer surrounding the liner, an inner surface of the composite layer disposed proximate the liner, and a plurality of longitudinal grooves configured to release gas present between the inner surface of the composite layer and the outer surface of the liner. The liner defines a longitudinal axis therethrough. The boss and the outer surface of the liner define the plurality of longitudinal grooves therein. The plurality of longitudinal grooves extends along the longitudinal axis from the boss toward a second end of the liner. The composite layer spans each of the plurality of longitudinal grooves.
HIGH-PRESSURE TANK
A high-pressure tank includes: a cylindrical hollow container; an outer shell that is formed of a fiber-reinforced plastic band which is wound on an outer circumference of the hollow container to cover the outer circumference; and a cap that is attached to an inner side of at least one of one axial end and the other axial end of the outer shell. The hollow container is formed of a material which has airtightness and which is able to expand and contract in an axial direction and a radial direction inside the outer shell, and a frictional portion that is used to set a frictional resistance to an inner circumferential surface of the outer shell to be greater than that in the other area is provided in an axial intermediate portion on an outer circumferential surface of the hollow container.
