Pressure vessel for the storage of pressurized fluids and vehicle comprising such a pressure vessel
A pressure vessel and a system of a vehicle with such a pressure vessel, wherein the pressure vessel is suitable for storage of pressurized fluids, comprising a housing which extends along a longitudinal axis. The housing defines an inner volume. The shape of the housing, in longitudinal cross-section, is defined by the circumference of a set of circles. The set of circles comprises a central circle, with a center point which is defined by the longitudinal axis, and four primary peripheral circles each of which intersects with the central circle at two points. The primary peripheral circles are axially distributed on the central circle in opposing pairs.

PRISMATIC LIQUID HYDROGEN TANK
A prismatic tank for the containment of liquefied gas. The tank is formed of extruded materials and comprises an outer insulation layer.
Cryogenic storage vessel
A cryogenic storage vessel having an inner vessel defining a cryogen space; an outer vessel spaced apart from and surrounding the inner vessel, defining a thermally insulating space between the inner vessel and the outer vessel; and a receptacle defining passages for delivery of liquefied gas from the cryogen space to outside the cryogenic storage vessel. The receptacle has an elongated outer sleeve defining an interior space in fluid communication with the thermally insulating space that is sealed from the cryogen space; an elongated inner sleeve extending into the interior space defined by the elongated outer sleeve defining an inner receptacle space that is fluidly isolated from the thermally insulating space; and a collar extending around an inner surface of the elongated inner sleeve which seals against a cooperating surface of a pump assembly when a pump assembly is installed in the cryogenic storage vessel thereby dividing a warm end from a cold end of the receptacle. A motor for driving the pump can be installed within the cryogenic storage vessel.
Apparatus and method for reliquefaction of boil-off gas of vessel
An apparatus for reliquefaction of boil-off gas for a vessel, comprises: a compression unit for compressing the boil-off gas discharged from the storage tank; and a heat exchanger for heat-exchanging the compressed boil-off gas compressed by the compression unit with the boil-off gas discharged from the storage tank; a first expansion means for dividing the boil-off gas passing through the heat exchanger into at least two flows including a first flow and a second flow, and expanding the divided first flow; a first intercooler for cooling the second flow remaining after the division of the first flow by using the first flow expanded by the expansion means as a refrigerant; and a receiver for receiving a second flow having passed through the first intercooler, in which a downstream pressure of the compression unit is controlled by a flow discharged from the receiver.

The diagnostic device may include a laser projection module projecting a pulsed laser to a specimen, a light receiving module receiving a light generated by a plasma ablation induced at the specimen by the pulsed laser, a spectral member receiving and dividing the light generated by the plasma ablation; a sensor array including a plurality of sensors arranged to receive the divided light for each wavelength, and a controller obtaining spectrum data of the light generated by the plasma ablation from a specific exposure period, and determining whether or not the specimen is diseased based on the spectrum data of the light generated by the plasma ablation.
Compressed natural gas storage and transportation system
A system for storing and transporting compressed natural gas includes source and destination facilities and a vehicle, each of which includes pressure vessels. The pressure vessels and gas therein may be maintained in a cold state by a carbon-dioxide-based refrigeration unit. Hydraulic fluid (and/or nitrogen) ballast may be used to fill the pressure vessels as the pressure vessels are emptied so as to maintain the pressure vessels in a substantially isobaric state that reduces vessel fatigue and lengthens vessel life. The pressure vessels may be hybrid vessels with carbon fiber and fiber glass wrappings. Dip tubes may extend into the pressure vessels to selectively expel/inject gas from/into the top of the vessels or hydraulic fluid from/into the bottom of the vessels. Impingement deflectors are disposed adjacent to the dip tubes inside the vessels to discourage fluid-induced erosion of vessel walls.
