The controller is configured to communicate a notification when the damage value exceeds an impact damage threshold. The system includes a filling controller communicatively coupled to the plurality of sensors. The filling controller is configured to control a valve for filling the cylinder with a fluid. The filling controller is configured to detect damage to the cylinder above a specified threshold as the cylinder is filled with the fluid. The filling controller is configured to automatically perform a safety action when the damage to the cylinder is detected.

Disclosed are gas cylinder assemblies for containing pressurized gas. The gas cylinder assembly has a polymeric liner and a low-permeability barrier layer. The polymeric liner a first end portion, a second end portion and a central body. The central body comprises an outer surface and an inner surface disposed between the first end and the second end. The gas cylinder assembly comprises a reinforcement structure wound over the central body. The gas cylinder assembly further comprises a metal foil interposed between the reinforcement structure and central body. The metal foil is configured to reduce permeation of contents of the polymeric liner.

Methods for storage and transportation of natural gas in liquid solvents

Systems and methods to create and store a liquid phase mix of natural gas absorbed in light-hydrocarbon solvents under temperatures and pressures that facilitate improved volumetric ratios of the stored natural gas as compared to CNG and PLNG at the same temperatures and pressures of less than −80° to about −120° F. and about 300 psig to about 900 psig. Preferred solvents include ethane, propane and butane, and natural gas liquid (NGL) and liquid pressurized gas (LPG) solvents. Systems and methods for receiving raw production or semi-conditioned natural gas, conditioning the gas, producing a liquid phase mix of natural gas absorbed in a light-hydrocarbon solvent, and transporting the mix to a market where pipeline quality gas or fractionated products are delivered in a manner utilizing less energy than CNG, PLNG or LNG systems with better cargo-mass to containment-mass ratio for the natural gas component than CNG systems.

The present invention belongs to the field of offshore wind power and, in particular, relates to system for transporting hydrogen produced from seawater and method based on an existing offshore wind power plant. The system comprises a wind generator, a seawater electrolytic cell device and a hydrogen transporting unit, wherein the wind generator is configured for converting wind energy into electric energy, the seawater electrolytic cell device is configured for electrolyzing seawater by making using of electric energy supplied by the wind generator and the hydrogen transporting unit is configured for transporting hydrogen produced by the seawater electrolytic cell device to a land. According to the present invention, by combining offshore wind power with seawater hydrogen production, resource advantages of the offshore wind power plant is utilized fully, so that the seawater hydrogen production cost is lowered.

A liquefied natural gas (LNG) production facility includes a liquefaction unit, a gas turbine, and a hydrogen generation unit. The liquefaction unit condenses natural gas vapor into liquefied natural gas. The hydrogen generation unit generates hydrogen. At least a portion of the hydrogen formed in the hydrogen generation unit is combusted, along with hydrocarbons, as fuel in the gas turbine.

A liquefied natural gas (LNG) production facility includes a liquefaction unit, a gas turbine, and a hydrogen generation unit. The liquefaction unit condenses natural gas vapor into liquefied natural gas. The hydrogen generation unit generates hydrogen. At least a portion of the hydrogen formed in the hydrogen generation unit is combusted, along with hydrocarbons, as fuel in the gas turbine.

The floating marine platform moves between a first position adjacent the marine manifold tower system and a second position, spaced apart from the marine manifold tower system, where the floating marine platform is in fluid communication with a fluid cargo transport vessel.

A gas supply marine vessel and a refueling facility are described. The gas supply marine vessel includes a hull with an upper deck having an elongated cargo cavity formed therein. Gas interface modules are disposed in the cavity and extend between hull sides, each module having a plurality of fuel vessel docking stations. A plurality of stacked fuel container assemblies are fluidically coupled to the docking stations. A gantry, is movable along the length of the cavity, straddles the cargo cavity between hull sides. An articulating crane is mounted on the gantry and it utilized to move fuel container assemblies to a fuel container depression formed in the deck of a floating refueling facility. The floating refueling facility includes a concave side to facilitate mooring adjacent a shoreline, the concave side forming angled extensions at corners of the deck with a linkspan extending from each of the angled extensions.
