SECURING A PIPE IN A HOUSING
A securing device for securing a pipe in a housing, which has a cylindrical collar, at least three securing arms, each securing arm containing a proximal arm portion mounted on the cylindrical collar, a distal arm portion bearing a bearing pad, the bearing pad containing a bearing surface facing away from the collar and intended to collaborate with a wall of the housing in which at least one of the securing arms contains a guideway capable of translationally guiding the distal arm portion with respect to the proximal arm portion, an elastic member being coupled to the guideway so as to be able to apply a return force that pushes the distal arm portion away from the proximal arm portion.
Method of Purging a Dual Purpose LNG/LIN Storage Tank
A method for loading liquefied nitrogen (LIN) into a cryogenic storage tank initially containing liquid natural gas (LNG) and a vapor space above the LNG. First and second nitrogen gas streams are provided. The first nitrogen stream has a lower temperature than the second nitrogen gas stream. While the LNG is offloaded from the storage tank, the first nitrogen gas stream is injected into the vapor space. The storage tank is then purged by injecting the second nitrogen gas stream into the storage tank to thereby reduce a natural gas content of the vapor space to less than 5 mol %. After purging the storage tank, the storage tank is loaded with LIN.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PROCESSING A LIQUID NATURAL GAS STREAM AT A LNG IMPORT TERMINAL
The invention relates to a of processing a liquid natural gas stream at a LNG import terminal. The method comprises operating a vaporization unit obtaining a pressurized vaporized natural gas stream and operating a slushification unit to obtain a slush of liquid and solids and a cooled vapour phase. The method further comprises withdrawing the cooled vapour phase from the slushifier providing a cooled vapour stream and passing the cooled vapour stream to the vaporization unit.
Apparatus and method for producing low-temperature compressed gas or liquefied gas
An apparatus and a method for cooling and compressing a fluid to produce a low-temperature compressed fluid that can efficiently use the cold of LNG and reduce the energy needed, the apparatus using a Rankine cycle system having a first compression device, a first heat exchanger, an expansion device, a second heat exchanger, and a first flow passageway for guiding the heat transfer medium from the second heat exchanger to the first compression device; and at least one second compression device that is coupled to the expansion device, wherein at the second heat exchanger, a low-temperature LNG and the heat transfer medium undergo heat transfer, wherein at the first heat exchanger, a fed material gas and the heat transfer medium undergo heat transfer to produce a low-temperature fluid from the material gas, and the low-temperature fluid is compressed at the second compression device to produce a low-temperature compressed fluid.
PROCESS FOR EXPANSION AND STORAGE OF A FLOW OF LIQUEFIED NATURAL GAS FROM A NATURAL GAS LIQUEFACTION PLANT, AND ASSOCIATED PLANT
The process comprises the following steps: mixing a gaseous stream of flash gas and a gaseous stream of boil-off gas to form a mixed gaseous flow; compressing the mixed gaseous flow in at least one compression apparatus to form a flow of compressed combustible gas; withdrawing a bypass flow in the flow of compressed combustible gas; compressing the bypass flow in at least one downstream compressor; cooling and expanding the compressed bypass flow; reheating at least a first stream derived from the expanded bypass flow in at least one downstream heat exchanger, reintroducing the first reheated stream in the mixed gaseous flow upstream from the compression apparatus.

The container body (21) is secured to an upper portion of a pump column (3) in which the submersible pump (2) is to be installed.
Method and system for treating and feeding natural gas to an apparatus for generating power in order to propel a ship
The invention relates to a method for treating and feeding natural gas from a tank for storing liquefied gas storage to an apparatus for generating power, and to a burner of an apparatus for generating power in a ship, said method comprising the following consecutive steps: supplying power to the apparatus for generating power, during which step natural gas is fed through a phase separator that returns a heavy fraction of the natural gas containing the hydrocarbons having the longest carbon chains to the tank as condensate and feeding a light fraction of the natural gas containing the hydrocarbons having the shortest carbon chains to the apparatus for generating power; and then recovering the heavy fraction of the natural gas, during which step natural gas is carried from the tank to the burner, bypassing said phase separator.
LNG BOILOFF GAS RECONDENSATION CONFIGURATIONS AND METHODS
Systems and methods for optimizing the recondensation of boiloff gas in liquid natural gas storage tanks are presented. In especially preferred aspects of the inventive subject matter, BOG from a storage tank is condensed using refrigeration content of a portion of LNG sendout in a direct or indirect manner, and the BOG condensate and LNG sendout portion are combined to form a subcooled stream that is then combined with the balance of the LNG sendout, to be fed to a high pressure pump. Contemplated recondensation operations advantageously occur without using otherwise needed large volume recondensers. Moreover, the condensing and subcooling operations are decoupled from the LNG sendout rate.
