PRESSURE VESSEL

Provided is a pressure vessel capable of adapting a release direction of gas in the pressure vessel (i.e., release-permitted direction) and a direction in which the gas in the pressure vessel should not be released (i.e., release-restricted direction) to an attitude of a vehicle or a surrounding environment. A release direction control unit is configured to variably change, with respect to the pressure vessel, a release direction of gas as a pressure relief valve opens, and without depending on an attitude of the pressure vessel, release the gas stored in the pressure vessel as the pressure relief valve opens (only) in the release-permitted direction set in advance with respect to a gravity direction, not in the release-restricted direction set in advance with respect to the gravity direction.

Flushable pressure vessel

A pressure vessel with a flushing lance, a transport container with pressure vessels and methods of filling and producing this pressure vessel are disclosed which comprises an inner vessel, an outer layer applied on the inner vessel, a valve connection piece arranged on one of the terminal caps of the inner vessel and a hollow flushing lance that is open to the outside and is guided through the valve connection piece and held therein in a sealing manner, wherein the flushing lance protrudes into the storage volume and is provided with a perforation along its entire length up to a first end of the flushing lance facing the terminal cap that lies opposite the valve connection piece in the storage volume for a gas exchange with the storage volume, wherein the flushing lance extends to the terminal cap which lies opposite the valve connection piece.

Pressure vessel

A pressure vessel (10) is provided with: a cylinder part (1) that defines a pressure chamber (11); a screwing part (3) that is disposed inside at least one of the two ends of the cylinder part; a lid (2) that has a pressure-receiving surface (2A) facing the pressure chamber and that is disposed at a position closer to the pressure chamber than is the screwing part; and a reinforcing ring (4) that is fitted to the outer circumferential surface of the cylinder part. The reinforcing ring covers, along the axial direction of the cylinder part, a part on an outer circumferential surface (1F) corresponding to a portion or the entirety of the engaging portion (12) between the cylinder part and the screwing part.

Motor vehicle having a pressure vessel, and operating method for a motor vehicle

A motor vehicle with a pressure vessel system includes at least a first pressure vessel arranged in a first region of the motor vehicle and at least one second pressure vessel arranged in a second region of the motor vehicle having a lower intrusion probability than the first region. Fuel is preferentially removed first primarily from the at least one first pressure vessel. When the lower limit of fuel level or fuel temperature is reached in the at least one first pressure vessel, fuel is removed from the at least one second pressure vessel. If the fuel supply rate from the at least one first pressure vessel is lower than an overall fuel supply rate for an energy converter, fuel is removed from the at least one second pressure vessel to meet the overall fuel supply rate needed by the energy converter.

TANK AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME

A tank includes a liner that includes a barrel portion in a cylindrical shape and a pair of dome portions provided at both ends of the barrel portion in the axial direction, and a reinforcing layer that covers the liner and that is formed from a fiber reinforced resin formed by impregnating a fiber bundle with a resin. A portion of the reinforcing layer that covers the dome portions includes a radial arrangement layer in which fibers of the fiber bundle are arranged radially along the radial direction of the dome portions when seen in the direction of an axis of the tank.

A fuel tank comprises a circular column-shaped fuel tank body, a handle, and a first connector. The circular column-shaped fuel tank body is provided so as to be detachably attachable to a fuel-powered device. The handle is formed on one end side in a length direction of the fuel tank body. The first connector is formed on another end side in the length direction of the fuel tank body and configured such that, by installing the fuel tank body to the fuel-powered device, the first connector is connected to a second connector provided at the fuel-powered device so as to enable fuel to be supplied to the fuel-powered device.

Throttle valve for adjusting the feeding of a gas to a fuel cell and electric drive vehicle including the throttle valve

A throttle valve for adjusting the feeding of a gas to a fuel cell, which includes: a valve body, divided into a first and a second portion; a gas feeding duct obtained in the first portion; a throttle plate arranged in the feeding duct; a shaft which is rotatably mounted in the first portion and supports the throttle plate; and an actuator which is mounted in the second portion and is configured to rotate the shaft. The throttle valve further comprises a magnetic joint, which transmits the motion from the actuator to the shaft and is divided into a first half coupled to the shaft, and a second half facing the first half and coupled to the actuator. The throttle valve also includes an insulating wall which insulates the first partition, in a pneumatically sealed manner, from the second portion of the valve body and is arranged between the two halves of the magnetic joint.
