Moulding device and method for moulding

A moulding device and a method for moulding food products from a mass of foodstuff which can be transferred by pumping are provided. The device includes a stationary frame with a revolving moulding drum assembly having a peripheral surface in which mould cavities are provided, and a mass feed device including a shoe member with a filling mouth adjoining the peripheral surface of the moulding drum assembly in order to fill said cavities with the foodstuff as they move past. In operation, the pressurized mass of foodstuff introduced into a mould cavity causes an outward force onto said shoe member. A non-revolving component is provided, concentrically supported by the moulding drum assembly, including the shoe member and an interconnected moulding drum assembly engaging counterforce element to counteract the entire outward force exerted by the pressurized foodstuff on the shoe member.

Feed channel with a customized exit

A system for forming a food product, that includes a mould member with cavities, each of the cavities have an opening with a geometrical shape; a feed channel that feeds the food mass into the cavities, the feed channel has an exit channel for each of the cavities in one of the rows, the exit channel has a cross section with a geometrical shape that corresponds with a geometrical shape of each of the cavities; and an exchangeable insert positioned inside of the feed channel that includes a sloped wall that tapers in a direction opposite a flow direction of the food mass so that the width of the feed channel, in a region of the feed channel where the insert is positioned, reduces along the flow direction of the food mass, and the insert has a straight wall downstream of the sloped wall in the flow direction.

A mould drum system configured for use in an installation for moulding food products from a pumpable foodstuff mass while the drum is rotating a mould drum around a longitudinal rotation axis by a driving unit. A support device is connected to the frame structure, having an inner side, the support device being moveable relative to the frame structure between an open position and a closing position. A shaft is provided having a mounting side at which it is mounted to the frame and an opposite free end.

A system for forming a product from a food mass that includes: a hopper with a rotating feeder; a mould drum with cavities to form products; a feed pump having a moving member; and a divider located between the feed pump and the mould drum and configured to distribute the food mass over an axial length of the mold drum, the divider is directly connected to a housing of the feed pump or is integral with the housing of the feed pump, the divider has at its inlet side a slightly sloped sidewall, having an angle of between 10 degrees to 30 degrees relative to a longitudinal axis of the divider and a height of 20 mm to 40 mm, to distribute the food mass and a seal provided between the divider and the mould drum downstream of the divider and in contact with a surface of the mould drum.

Moulding food products from a pumpable foodstuff mass

An installation for moulding of three dimensional products from a mass of pumpable foodstuff material includes a pump having at least one pump chamber, a pump drive, and a moulding device including a mould drum, a mould member drive for moving the mould drum along a path, and a mass feed member. The mass feed member has a chamber with an inlet, a discharge mouth facing the mould member at the fill position along the path of the mould drum, an orificed grinder body and multiple mobile grinder members each arranged at one of the distinct positions of the mold cavities and cooperating with the grinding face of the orificed grinder body. The installation is advantageously employed for the manufacture of meat products from a pumpable meat mass for the manufacture of meat patties.

Moulding

A system for moulding three-dimensional products from a mass of one or more food starting materials which are suitable for consumption, in particular human consumption, has a production device having a frame, a mould member provided with at least one mould cavity, the frame supporting the mould member, mass feed means for feeding the mass to the one or more mould cavities of the mould member. The system also has at least one cleaning device for cleaning one or more parts of the production device which come into contact with the mass. The mould member is removable from the frame. The system has a storage device for storing a plurality of mould members, which may be provided with an identification, has recognition means for recognizing the identification of a mould member, and may have a memory for storing at least one history of a mould member.
