A vehicle lamp includes a light source, a lighting control unit configured to control an emission timing of light emitted from the light source, and a rotary scanning unit configured to repeatedly perform scanning with the light emitted from the light source while rotating. The vehicle lamp illuminates a predetermined region with scan light. The rotary scanning unit performs plural repetitive scans in one rotation. The lighting control unit detects a rotation cycle of the rotary scanning unit, and controls the emission timing of the light source at a timing obtained by equally dividing the detected rotation cycle.

Multi-Mode Lights

A system may have lights. A light may include a first light source and a first reflector configured to provide lighting for a high-beam mode and for a low-beam mode. The light may include a second light source and a second reflector configured to provide lighting for a cornering light mode. The lighting provided by the first light source and the lighting provided by the second light source may pass through the same headlight lens aperture. A light blocking structure may provide a cutoff pattern that define the illumination pattern of the low-beam lighting and the cornering lighting. One or more additional light sources may be provided to boost the intensity of a hot spot for high-beam lighting.

A low-beam primary optical element for a vehicle lamp, a vehicle lamp module comprising the low-beam primary optical element, a vehicle lamp, and a vehicle. The low-beam primary optical element comprises light entrance portion, a light passage portion and a light exit portion which are sequentially arranged from back to front. The light exit portion comprises a main light exit surface and a second light exit surface connected to the main light exit surface. A low-beam cutoff line structure is provided at the secondary light exit surface. The secondary light exit surface is configured to refract light emitted to the low-beam cutoff line structure forward and upward. The low-beam primary optical element has a simple structure, and can effectively improve the color of a low-beam light-dark cutoff line and mitigate color dispersion.
