A vehicle lamp comprises a first light source group for forward illumination comprising at least one light emitting element, a second light source group for road surface drawing comprising at least one light emitting element provided separately from the at least one light emitting element, a first projection lens through which light emitted from the first light source group is to pass, a second projection lens through which light emitted from the second light source group is to pass, and a light shade arranged between the first and second light source groups and the first and second projection lenses so that the lights from the first and second light source groups do not intersect with each other before entering the first and second projection lenses, respectively. Light distribution control functions of the first and second projection lenses are different from each other.

A vehicle lighting apparatus includes: a light source; a reflector that reflects light emitted from the light source toward a vehicle travel direction; a light distribution control unit that controls light distribution of light reflected by the reflector; and a projection lens that projects the light of which the light distribution is controlled by the light distribution control unit toward the vehicle travel direction, wherein the light distribution control unit has a structure in which a plurality of reflection elements are provided to be aligned in a vehicle width direction, and wherein light that is incident on the projection lens from an upper direction of the plurality of reflection elements of the light reflected by the reflector forms a light distribution pattern that includes a cutoff line which is defined by an upper end of the plurality of reflection elements, and light that is incident on the plurality of reflection elements is reflected toward the projection lens to thereby form a complementary light distribution pattern that is different from the light distribution pattern.

Apparatus and method for controlling a vehicle light with adjustable light output using OBD data
An apparatus for controlling a vehicle light with adjustable light output is provided, whereby the apparatus includes a processor configured to receive on-board diagnostics (OBD) data and to determine a light output mode for the vehicle light in accordance with the OBD data, whereby the OBD data indicates a vehicle condition. The apparatus includes a transceiver coupled to the processor that is configured to signal the light output mode to the vehicle light. A method of controlling a vehicle light is provided that includes receiving OBD data from an OBD system in a vehicle, whereby the OBD data determines a vehicle condition, determining a light output mode of the vehicle light in accordance with the OBD data, and sending to the vehicle light appropriate commands for adjusting the light output in accordance with the determined light output mode.

An illumination apparatus includes a housing with a faceplate, at least one light source, at least one optical assembly coupled to the faceplate, a frame supporting the at least one light source, and a yoke assembly having a camshaft and a yoke with a set of lobes, the yoke assembly coupled to the faceplate and slideably received by the frame, such that the at least one optical assembly is moveable in a linear direction towards and away from the at least one light source by rotation of the camshaft.
VEHICLE LIGHT MODULE COMPRISING A LOCATING PIN WITH A FLEXIBLE PART AND A RIGID PART
The present invention relates to a motor vehicle's light module for lighting or signaling device purposes and includes at least one light source mounted on a support, an optical unit that engages the light source that forms a light beam and a locating system, which includes at least one locating pin inserted into a locating orifice. The support contains at least one locating pin and the locating orifice while the optical unit has the other locating pin and locating orifice. The locating pins include two facing parts where one of the parts is identified as the rigid part, and the other of the parts is identified as the flexible part, where the one part is more rigid than the other of the two facing parts.

The present invention relates to an optical element (1), an optical module and a vehicle. The optical element (1) comprises: a light incident section (10) for receiving light directly from a light source; a light exit section (30) having a focal plane (P); and a third section (20) that directs light from the light incident section (10) toward the light exit section (30) in a predetermined manner to generate a predetermined low beam distribution or high beam distribution, where the optical element (1) is implemented integrally.

The invention relates to a headlamp lens for a vehicle headlamp, in particular a motor vehicle headlamp. The headlamp lens comprises a body made of a transparent material and having at least one light inlet surface and at least one optically effective light exit surface. The body comprises a light tunnel which transitions into a light-conducting element while making a bend for imaging the bend as a light-shadow line. The body further comprises an orientation structure for orienting the headlamp lens in a vehicle headlamp and/or for orienting the headlamp lens towards a light source for irradiating light onto the light inlet surface.
