Light module

A light module, comprising numerous semiconductor light sources for emitting light, a primary lens element for concentrating the light emitted from the semiconductor light sources in section perpendicular to a sagittal plane of the light module, wherein the primary lens element exhibits numerous disk-like light conducting sections, extending in a plane perpendicular to the sagittal plane, wherein each light conducting section exhibits a light coupling surface and a light decoupling surface, and is designed for conducting light, subjected to a total reflection, from the light coupling surface to the light decoupling surface, wherein a semiconductor light source is allocated to each light conducting section such that light form the semiconductor light source can be coupled with the respective light coupling surface in the light conducting section.

Vehicular lamp

A vehicular lamp includes a light source, a reflector, and a projection lens. The vehicular lamp is configured to radiate, toward front of the lamp via the projection lens, light from the light source, the light being reflected by the reflector. A reflective surface of the reflector includes a reflective region configured to illuminate a short-distance road surface within 5 m in front of the lamp. A light diffusing treatment for diffusing and reflecting emitted light from the light source is applied to the reflective region.

Light bar and method of making

A light bar is described that is of a modular construction based on one or more large circuit boards that are populated with light beam assemblies and then fastened to an interior space of the light bar housing. Keys that automatically align the light beam assemblies on each of the boards precisely control placement of the assemblies on the board. In turn, each of the boards is keyed to the interior of the light bar housing so that when the board is fastened to the housing the light beam assemblies are automatically registered into alignment with the lenses in the housing so that the beams from the assemblies are properly oriented. The light bar is inexpensive to fabricate and can be assembled quickly and reliably, yet it provides for a high degree of customization, which is a requirement in the emergency vehicle lighting industry.

A vehicle front lamp is configured to be mounted on a vehicle, and includes a plurality of optical systems. Each of the plurality of optical systems includes a light emitting element and an inner lens disposed on a front side relative to the light emitting element. The plurality of inner lenses are integrated.

Optical module for mobility vehicles

An optical module for mobility vehicles reduces an overall size of an optical system and thus facilitates a package configuration. The optical module for mobility vehicles also ensures a sufficient amount of light and high optical efficiency are through efficient operation of light sources and improves quality of illumination images projected onto a light irradiation area.

Lamp fitting, and vehicular headlamp

A vehicular headlamp (1) serving as a lamp fitting includes: a board (40) on which a first light source (41) and a second light source (42) are mounted; a heat sink (20); and a reflector unit (50) that presses the board (40) against the heat sink (20) and reflects a part of light emitted from the first light source (41) and the second light source (42), in which the board (40) has recesses (45) which are recessed portions of side surfaces (40sf) facing each other, the first light source (41) and the second light source (42) are positioned at inner positions with respect to a bottom portion (45B) of each of the recesses (45), and the reflector unit (50) presses parts of the board (40) that are positioned at outer positions with respect to the bottom portion (45B) of each of the recesses (45).

The present invention pertains to an automotive lighting system arrangement including an optical light module with a light source that produces light rays and emits light rays along the module's optical axis towards a beam clipping structural arrangement that forms a cutoff in a generated light beam; the reflective collector being arranged with a trim shield and an optional light blocker so that a portion of the light rays directed along the optical axis has a pre-designed shape or angle of inclination relative to a benchmark axis, such that the optical light module forms a shaped image from the interaction of light rays across a collector's reflective surface with the trim shield to achieve the shaped image of the cutoff beam. The invention also describes application to lighting systems that include multiple associated lighting device modules.

Vertical automotive lighting module with identical day and night lighting aspects

A lighting module for an automotive vehicle includes a plurality of lighting sub-modules each including at least one light source, a flat optical light guide with an input surface, and an output surface and a reflection surface which is capable of reflecting light from the input surface to the output surface. The plurality of lighting sub-modules includes first lighting sub-modules configured to each produce a lighting sub-beam with an upper horizontal cut-off, and second lighting sub-modules configured to each produce a lighting sub-beam without an upper horizontal cut-off. The first and second lighting sub-modules are juxtaposed so as to form, along the juxtaposition, a plurality of alternations between the first and second lighting sub-modules.
