A lighting module is provided for generating two different lighting effects, and includes at least one light source, a first primary optical element, a second primary optical element, and a projection lens. The first primary optical element contains a diffusion surface diffusing the light beams from the light source to homogenously light the projections lens for a first lighting effect. The first primary optical element has a first reflector and second reflector. The first reflector reflects light beams from the light source in a boundary area between the diffusion surface and another section of the lighting module onto the second reflector to direct these light beams through the diffusion surface onto the projection lens. The second primary optical element directs light beams from the light source onto the projection lens to light the projection lens for a second lighting effect.

Illumination Device for Motor Vehicle Headlight

Illumination device for a motor vehicle headlight for producing a dipped beam distribution, which has a homogeneous light distribution in the region below the intersection HV up to at least 3 along the vertical line V-V. The illumination device includes: (i) an illuminant for emitting light, (ii) a screen with a screen edge, wherein the screen includes a first and a second screen section, which are connected by a connecting section, and (iii) a projection optics system, which is designed to project the dipped beam distribution towards a main emission direction. The connecting section has a deflection surface, which extends along a plane with a spatial vector, which forms a first angle of 1 to 3, preferably of 2, to the first axis, and forms a second angle of 1 to 3, preferably of 2, to the main emission direction.

Light source module

A light source module is switchable between a high beam and a low beam, and is mounted on a vehicle. A first light source is arranged such that its output light is irradiated to a low-beam region by a first optical system. A second light source is arranged such that its output light is irradiated to a high-beam region by a second optical system. A lighting circuit supplies a driving current to the first light source in response to a turn-on instruction for either the high beam or the low beam. Furthermore, the lighting circuit supplies the output current to the second light source in response to a turn-on instruction for the high beam.
