Automotive lighting module with combined low and high beam functions and an adjustable light source
A motor vehicle lighting module including an optical axis, a first optical system with at least one first light source, the system being configured to form a first lighting beam along the optical axis, with a horizontal cutoff; and a second optical system with at least one second light source, the system being configured to produce, in combination with the first optical system, a second lighting beam along the optical axis, that is vertically more extensive than the first beam. The light sources have a variable lighting power varying between a high level and a low level, the first beam being produced at the low level of lighting power and the second beam being produced at the high level of lighting power.
Head lamp apparatus
A head lamp apparatus may include: a light source unit including first and second light sources; a lens separated from the light source unit; a first optic rod having a first light receiving surface, and emitting light received from the first light source toward the lens through a first light emitting surface; and a second optic rod having a second light receiving surface, and emitting light received from the second light source toward the lens through a second light emitting surface. At least one of the first and second light emitting surfaces may be positioned on a Petzval surface of the lens.
ADDITIONAL HEADLAMP FOR VEHICLES
The invention relates to an additional headlamp (3,3,3) for a vehicle, which headlamp is designed to produce a light image in front of the vehicle (1) by emitting light from at least one light module (5) and to project said light image in front of the vehicle by means of a downstream imaging optical unit (8), wherein a first light module (6) is designed to produce a first light image having at least one first light distribution having at lease one first, substantially vertically oriented, linear intensity maximum, and a second light module (7) is designed to produce a second light image having a second light distribution having at lease one second substantially rectangular intensity maximum, and the light images of both light modules (6,7) are superposed, wherein the first intensity maximum is vertically below the second intensity maximum.
VEHICLE LAMP
A vehicle lamp includes a projector lens, a first light source disposed behind the projector lens and configured to emit light for forming a low-beam light distribution pattern, a second light source disposed behind the projector lens and configured to emit light for forming an additional high-beam light distribution pattern, and a metal base member. The base member includes a first surface on which the first light source is disposed and a second surface on which the second light source is disposed. The second surface is inclined with respect to an optical axis such that an emission portion of the light emitting element faces obliquely forward and upward. A plurality of metal plate-shaped fins extending in a left-right direction and an upper-lower direction of the lamp are arranged along a front-rear direction of the lamp on a rear surface of the first and second surfaces.
Lamp For Vehicle And Method For Controlling The Same
A vehicle lamp includes: a light source unit including one or more light sources and configured to generate light; a reflector configured to reflect at least part of the light generated by the light source unit; and a lens configured to transmit therethrough a first portion of the light that is generated by the light source unit and that is reflected by the reflector to the lens. The reflector includes: a reflective part configured to reflect, to the lens, the first portion of the light generated by the light source unit; and a non-reflective part configured not to reflect, to the lens, the light generated by the light source unit. The reflective part and the non-reflective part of the reflector are configured to selectively reflect the light generated by the light source unit towards the lens to output a light distribution pattern from the vehicle lamp.
LIGHT SOURCE DEVICE AND PROJECTION DEVICE
A light source device includes: a semiconductor light emitting device which emits laser light; a wavelength conversion component which emits fluorescence by being irradiated with the laser light emitted from the semiconductor light emitting device as excitation light; and a photodetector on which a portion of light emitted from the wavelength conversion component is incident. The photodetector is disposed at a location off a light path of usable radiation light which is emitted from the wavelength conversion component to a space and used as illumination light.
VEHICLE LAMP
There is provided a vehicle lamp includes a first light source part, a second light source part, a scanning optical system which scans an emission beam from the first light source part by repeating a periodical motion, and a lighting circuit which independently drives the first light source part and the second light source part. A scanning beam scanned by the scanning optical system is projected to form a first pattern, and an emission beam from the second light source part is projected to form a second pattern.
