The invention relates to a light guide unit (3) for a light-emitting unit (1) for a projector lamp, in particular a motor vehicle headlamp, wherein the light-emitting unit (1) comprises a plurality of light sources (2), the light guide unit (3), and a downstream projection lens (4), wherein the light guide unit (3) has a plurality of light guides (30), wherein each light guide (30) has a light exit surface (30a), and wherein each light source (2) couples light precisely into a light guide (30) assigned thereto, and wherein adjacent light guides (30) are separated from one another by separating walls (31, 32). In accordance with the invention the light guide unit (3) comprises an accommodating element (5), which accommodating element (5) has an accommodating opening (5a) which passes completely through the accommodating element (5) in the light exit direction, and furthermore comprises at least one light guide body (6), which at least one light guide body (6) is in the form of a component formed separately from the accommodating element (5), in which at least one light guide body (6) at least some of the light guides (30) of the light guide unit (3) are formed, and wherein the at least one light guide body (6) is inserted into the accommodating opening (5a) of the accommodating element (5).

Method for producing a light distribution on a road (8) using a motor vehicle headlight, wherein at least one laser beam (2) that can be modulated in intensity is directed in at least one coordinate direction in a scanning manner to a light conversion means (5) using at least one controlled beam deflection means (3) in order to generate an illuminated image (6) on same, said illuminated image being projected as a light image (6′) onto the road using projection optics (7), wherein the image generated from the laser beam (2) using the beam deflection means (3) is split by deflecting the laser beam (2′) by means of an image convolution means (4), and the sub-images are projected in a mirror-imaged manner in relation to a division line onto the light conversion means (5) to be combined and form an entire illuminated image (6). The invention also relates to a corresponding headlight for motor vehicles, wherein an image convolution means (4) is arranged between the beam deflection means (3) and the light conversion means (5).

The headlight comprises: a light-guiding unit, the inner surface of the front surface of the light-guiding unit being coated with a totally-reflecting material; at least one light-emitting device fixed to the inner surface of the side surface of the light-guiding unit; a power supply unit for supplying power to each light-emitting device; at least one prism arranged on the inner surface of the rear surface of the light-guiding unit so as to reflect light from each light-emitting device; and a control unit for controlling power of the power supply unit, wherein light emitted from the light-emitting device is reflected at the prism and at the inner surface of the front surface and is discharged to the outside of the light-guiding unit. Accordingly, the device usability and efficiency can be improved.
