Fiber optic light panel device with plural outputs
A lighting device for a vehicle includes a lighting module for a vehicle having a light source and a panel optically coupled to the light source. The panel includes a plurality of fibers, and a first illumination region of first light output for a first vehicle lighting function and a second illumination region of second light output for a second vehicle lighting function.
ILLUMINATION DEVICE
An illumination device includes: an elongated light guide; a first light source; a second light source; and a controller. A first increase beginning time point at which the brightness of the first light source begins to increase from zero is prior to a second increase beginning time point at which the brightness of the second light source begins to increase from zero. A first increase finish time point at which the brightness of the first light source finishes increasing to the first set brightness is simultaneous with or prior to a second increase finish time point at which the brightness of the second light source finishes increasing to the second set brightness. A time from the first increase beginning time point to the second increase finish time point is not more than 0.2 seconds.

CONSTRUCTION METHOD FOR 3D FIBER OPTICS
A fiber optic light panel includes an optical fiber layer having a plurality of optical fibers each configured to emit light along a length of the optical fiber. The plurality of optical fibers are arranged in a predetermined form such that the optical fiber layer has a light emitting side configured to emit light, and a mounting side opposing the light emitting side. Also included is an adhesive layer having a first surface in direct contact with the mounting side of the optical fiber layer, and a second side opposing the first side and configured to directly contact a surface of a supporting structure such that the adhesive layer connects the optical fiber layer to the support structure.
Covered fiber bundle for lighting modules
A fiber bundle includes a plurality of optical fibers, a light source, and a fiber cover. The light source is coupled to the plurality of optical fibers and operable to direct light into input ends of the plurality of optical fibers. The fiber cover has a predetermined cross-sectional shape configured to hold the plurality of optical fibers in a bundled position and to transmit light into an outer region of the plurality of optical fibers defining an illumination region for vehicle lighting functions.

Vehicular lamp
Provided is a lamp unit including a reflector that reflects and controls light emitted from first and second light emitting elements. The reflector includes first and second reflective surfaces. In addition, the light emitted from the first light emitting element in a headlamp lighting mode (a first lighting mode) is incident on the first reflective surface and not on the second reflective surface, and the light emitted from the second light emitting element in a daytime running lamp lighting mode (a second lighting mode) is incident on the first and second reflective surfaces.

VEHICLE ILLUMINATION ASSEMBLY
A vehicle illumination assembly is basically provided with a vehicle substrate layer, a fiber optic fabric layer and a light source. The vehicle substrate layer has an inboard side and an outboard side. The fiber optic fabric layer is disposed over the inboard side of the vehicle substrate layer. The light source is arranged to illuminate the fiber optic fabric layer.
LIGHT ASSEMBLY FOR VEHICLE AND METHOD OF FORMING THE SAME
A light assembly for a motor vehicle according to an exemplary aspect of the present disclosure includes, among other things, a light source, and a lens arrangement configured to direct light from the light source in a first direction toward a running board and a second direction away from the vehicle. A method is also disclosed.
