The light guide includes an elongated body, the body having a light exit segment for guiding light from a light source to exit in a target direction, the light exit segment including a bend segment. The light guide further includes a wing-like part, the wing-like part being at least connected to the bend segment and being configured to fill a gap between the bend segment and an edge of the opening.

A light module for illuminating an outer component of a vehicle, including: a housing for fastening the light module to the vehicle; a cover mounted on the housing; an inner space delimited between the housing and the cover; a printed circuit board in the inner space; a light source on the printed circuit board and configured for emitting an illumination beam-; and a light guide in the housing facing the light source and extending outside the inner space for guiding the illumination beam along the outer component. The light guide includes an optical fiber extending outside the inner space and a lens positioned between the light source and an entry opening of the optical fiber, such that the illumination beam emitted by the light source is focalized toward the entry opening of the optical fiber. A process for manufacturing such light module is also described.

A light module for illuminating an outer component of a vehicle, including: a housing for fastening the light module to the vehicle; a cover mounted on the housing; an inner space delimited between the housing and the cover; a printed circuit board in the inner space; a light source on the printed circuit board and configured for emitting an illumination beam-; and a light guide in the housing facing the light source and extending outside the inner space for guiding the illumination beam along the outer component. The light guide includes an optical fiber extending outside the inner space and a lens positioned between the light source and an entry opening of the optical fiber, such that the illumination beam emitted by the light source is focalized toward the entry opening of the optical fiber. A process for manufacturing such light module is also described.
Optical imaging system
An optical imaging system (100) including an elongated lightguide (105) having pluralities of first and second light extractors (110) forming respective first and second patterns along the length of the lightguide is described. Light extracted by the first light extractors exit the lightguide primarily along a first direction toward a target location (150), and light extracted by the second light extractors exit the lightguide primarily along a second direction different from the first direction. The optical imaging system includes a first reflector (114) for receiving light exiting the lightguide primarily along the second direction and reflecting the received light toward the target location. The first reflector forms a first virtual image (132) of the second pattern behind the first reflector. The first pattern and the first virtual image are visible to a viewer (152) viewing the optical imaging system from the target location.

An optical assembly, a vehicle lamp and a motor vehicle are disclosed. The optical assembly includes a light guide, the light guide at least having a first light guide section, a second light guide section and a bridging light guide section. The first light guide section and the second light guide section are connected together at one end to form an end region and bifurcating from the end region, the end region having an end face for the in-coupling of light. The bridging light guide section is arranged between the first light guide section and the second light guide section. The bridging light guide section is spaced apart from a bifurcation position of the first light guide section and the second light guide section, and the bridging light guide section has a light in-coupling face facing the bifurcation position, and a light out-coupling face.

A lighting and/or signaling device, comprising: a light guide adapted to receive a light ray beam to a light outlet wall which creates a lighting portion of the lighting and/or signaling device, at least one LED light source adapted to receive the light beam, transmitted by total internal reflection towards the light outlet wall. The device includes at least one reflector element associated with the light inlet and diffusion wall of the light guide and directly facing the respective extraction elements so as to reflect light towards the light outlet wall. A diffusion layer is arranged to cover the lighting portion on the side of the light outlet wall. The diffusion layer has a differentiated transmission factor according to the light intensity of the incident light rays on the lighting portion so as to obtain a uniform light intensity over the whole lighting portion.

A light source unit includes: a light source part that emits excitation light; a light emitting part that emits generated light by being irradiated with the excitation light; a support part that guides the excitation light to the light emitting part while supporting the light emitting part; and a reflective part provided on a back surface of the support part, the back surface being on a side opposite to an emission direction of the generated light.

A translucent cover (1012) defines a lamp chamber (1013) together with a housing (1011) while forming a portion of an outer face of a vehicle. A LiDAR sensor (1161) is disposed in the lamp chamber (1013) to detect external information of the vehicle. A half mirror (1162) is disposed in the lamp chamber (1013) so as to cover the LiDAR sensor (1161) from a side where the translucent cover (1162) is disposed. The translucent cover (1012) has a first transparency to visible light. The half mirror (1162) has a second transparency to the visible light that is lower than the first transparency.

A lighting or signaling device comprises a first light source and a housing, the housing defining at least a first light exit region and a second light exit region independent of each other, part of light from the first light source exiting as a first light beam from the first light exit region; the lighting or signaling device further comprises a light guide member, which is assigned to the first light source and is positioned and configured to guide a part of the light from the first light source to exit through at least the second light exit region.
