Image display having partially driven light sources and wavelength-selective reflection film
Provided is a partial drive-type light source device capable of suppressing coloring of a section intended to be a dark section when a plurality of light-emitting elements is driven in a partial manner. The partial drive-type light source device includes an excitation light source, a phosphor sheet that is disposed at a position separated from the excitation light source and contains a phosphor that releases emitted light in a wavelength region differing from incident light, and a wavelength-selective reflection film that is disposed between the excitation light source and the phosphor sheet and that transmits at least part of light in the wavelength region of the incident light from the excitation light source and reflects at least part of light in the wavelength region of the emitted light from the phosphor sheet.
LIGHT EMITTING DEVICE
A light emitting device includes a base, light sources, wall portions, and a half mirror. The base has a light reflecting surface and has a first side on which the light reflecting surface is provided. The light sources are mounted on the first side of the base. Each of the wall portions surrounds each of the plurality of light sources. The half mirror is to reflect a part of incident light and to transmit another part of the incident light. The half mirror is disposed opposite to the base such that the light sources are provided between the half mirror and the base.
Light panel shade
This invention relates generally to a light panel light source shade in the form of a masking tape or sheet. Ideally the masks may be printed directly on a surface design layer for use with the light panel. The invention is for use in the field of decorative 5 lighting. The problem of the alternating bright and dark areas on an illuminated face of a pane of a light panel is that they produce an unpleasant mottled surface brightness around the perimeter or across a face of the pane of a light panel. A light pane light source shade is developed to produce a uniform intensity of light across the face of the light panel.
Light emitting device having half mirror with light reflecting layer
A light emitting device includes a base, light sources, wall portions, and a half mirror. The base has a light reflecting surface and has a first side on which the light reflecting surface is provided. The light sources are mounted on the first side of the base. Each of the wall portions surrounds each of the plurality of light sources. The half mirror is to reflect a part of incident light and to transmit another part of the incident light. The half mirror is disposed opposite to the base such that the light sources are provided between the half mirror and the base.
PARTIAL DRIVE-TYPE LIGHT SOURCE DEVICE AND IMAGE DISPLAY DEVICE USING SAME
Provided is a partial drive-type light source device capable of suppressing coloring of a section intended to be a dark section when a plurality of light-emitting elements is driven in a partial manner.
Device, system, and method of providing a lampshade insert for applying an artistic medium
An insert device for receiving an artistic medium thereon for use with a lampshade. The device may include an insert configured to be used in association with a lampshade. The insert may include a first side and a second side. A design may be located on the first side of the insert, where the insert with the design is configured to be drawn on using an artistic implement. The insert may be made from a translucent material that is capable of receiving and retaining an artistic medium thereon. The artistic medium can be erased or otherwise removed from the translucent material. The design on the insert may be used in association with a lampshade such that it is exposed for viewing in association with the lampshade when the insert is in a three-dimensional shape.
Illumination device and luminaire
Today the use of false ceilings is decreasing as it involves too high an energy consumption. The tendency nowadays is to have bare concrete ceilings onto which luminaires are mounted, which often causes acoustical problems. The invention deals with these acoustical problems and relates to an illumination device (1) comprising a concave reflector (2) bordering, with an outer edge (3), on a light emission window (4). The reflector has a reflective surface (7) facing the light emission window. The illumination device further comprises lamp holding means (8) for accommodating a light source (9), and said lamp holding means being positioned in between the reflective surface and the light emission window. The illumination device is characterized in that the reflector is made of acoustically absorbing material.
LIGHT EMITTING DIODE (LED) BASED LIGHTING SYSTEMS
A lighting system comprises at least one excitation source (5), preferably an LED, operable to generate and radiate excitation radiation of a first wavelength (.sub.1); a shade (4) configured to at least in part surround the at least one source (5) and remotely located thereto; and at least one phosphor (16) provided in or on at least a part of the shade (4), wherein the phosphor (16) emits radiation of a different wavelength in response to incident excitation radiation. The phosphor can be provided on a part of an outer or inner surface of the shade. Alternatively, or in addition, the phosphor is incorporated within the shade. The lighting system finds particular application as a hanging, a desk, a floor standing, a wall mountable, a spot, an outdoor or an accent lighting fixture.
Lighting apparatus
This lighting apparatus is provided with a blue LED chip having a maximum peak at a wavelength of 420-480 nm and a fluorescent material-containing resin layer disposed on the front of the blue LED chip in the light emission direction. The fluorescent material-containing resin layer is obtained by mixing and dispersing a LuAg fluorescent material, which is represented by the formula Lu.sub.3Al.sub.5O.sub.12:Ce.sup.3+ and in which the Ce activation rate is 2 mol. % or lower relative to Lu, and a double fluoride fluorescent material represented by the formula A.sub.2(B.sub.1xMn.sub.x)F.sub.6 (in the formula, A is at least one type of element selected from among the group consisting of Li, Na, K and Cs, B is at least one type of element selected from among the group consisting of Si, Ti, Nb, Ge and Sn, and x is an integer that falls within the range 0.001x0.1) in a resin. The present invention is capable of achieving a higher sense of brightness, high visibility and a sense of brightness across a wide range under scotopic conditions or mesopic conditions with an emitted light color close to black body radiation.
