Phosphor module
A phosphor module for a laser light source includes a heat radiator, a phosphor layer disposed at the heat radiator and configured to absorb and emit light, where a wavelength of the emitted light is different from a wavelength of the absorbed light, a reflective layer that covers a side surface of the phosphor layer and is configured to reflect light, and an adhesive layer disposed between the phosphor layer and the heat radiator and between the reflective layer and the heat radiator, the adhesive layer being configured to couple each of the phosphor layer and the reflective layer to the heat radiator. A thermal conductivity of the adhesive layer is greater than a thermal conductivity of each of the phosphor layer and the reflective layer.

Lighting apparatus
A lighting apparatus includes: a laser light source emitting laser light; a liquid crystal device that transmits the laser light from the laser light source and diffracts the laser light; a phosphor unit that receives laser light from the liquid crystal device, converts a wavelength of the laser light to emit illumination light, the phosphor unit including a first phosphor of a first color and a second phosphor of a second color differing from the first color. The liquid crystal device controls an angle of the laser light and selects one of the first phosphor or the second phosphor.
EDGE COUPLED FIBER LIGHT
A laser-based fiber-coupled illumination system is provided. The system includes a laser device, one or more fibers, and a transparent member. Leaky portions of the one or more fibers are disposed adjacent to surfaces of the transparent member, and the transparent member is configured to provide wave guiding of light emitted from the leaky portions of the one or more fibers. The transparent member includes one or more surfaces configured to scatter the light to provide illumination.
Illuminator and projector
An illuminator includes a first light source unit that includes a first light source region, a second light source unit, and a light ray flux adjusting system. The first light source region outputs parallelized first color light. The first light source unit outputs first light containing the first color light. The second light source unit outputs parallelized second light thicker than the first light. The second light is formed of second color light having a color different from the color of the first color light. The light ray flux adjusting system is in the optical path of the first light. The difference in thickness between the first light and the second light on the downstream of the light ray flux adjusting system is smaller than the difference in thickness between the first light and the second light on the upstream of the light ray flux adjusting system.
LIGHT SOURCE UNIT OF VEHICLE LIGHTING SYSTEM AND VEHICLE LIGHTING SYSTEM
A light source unit of a vehicle lighting system includes: a light source to emit excitation light; a light generating unit including a luminescent layer to emit generation light by being irradiated with the excitation light and a holding member holding the luminescent layer; and a lens member to output generation light from the luminescent layer toward the front, with the light source unit mounted on the vehicle.

Wavelength conversion device, illumination device, and projector
A wavelength conversion device in which a wavelength conversion element less easily comes off a substrate. A wavelength conversion device includes a substrate capable of rotating around a rotation axis, a wavelength conversion element provided around the rotation axis on one surface side of the substrate, and a fixing member that fixes the wavelength conversion element to the substrate. The wavelength conversion element includes a first surface opposed to the one surface of the substrate, a second surface on the opposite side of the first surface, and a first side surface section that connects the first surface to the second surface. The fixing member is in contact with the first side surface section in at least a part of the first side surface section when viewed from a direction parallel to the rotation axis.

LIGHT EMITTING DEVICE
Alight emitting device (A) includes a laser light source (1) that emits laser light (100), a housing (2A) that includes a bottom wall (3) and a side wall, and a first wavelength converter (20) provided on the side wall, the first wavelength converter (20) containing a first phosphor. The bottom wall of the housing is irradiated with the laser light emitted from the laser light source, and the first phosphor is excited by diffused light of the laser light diffused by the bottom wall. With such a configuration, the light emitting device (A) improves color uniformity and chromaticity flexibility while increasing power density of output light.
