In one embodiment, a recessable luminaire comprises two or more luminaire modules, each one of which comprising a recessable housing having opposed side walls. The luminaire further comprises an output element securable along and between these side walls to at least partially define an output of the luminaire, and opposed inwardly biased output coupling structures extending at least partially along respective side walls and adapted to receive and resiliently secure corresponding edges of the output element therein.

An installation assembly for a lighting fixture comprises first and second loading bars. The first loading bar is slidably connected to a first side of the lighting fixture and configured to slide in a direction perpendicular to a longitudinal direction of the first loading bar. The first loading bar comprises a first projecting portion. The second loading bar is connected to a second side of the lighting fixture opposite to the first side and comprises a second projecting portion. The troffer has first and second recessed portions respectively on two opposite inner side walls thereof. The first loading bar is configured to slide to a first position to allow the first and second projecting portions to pass through an opening of the troffer, and configured to slide to a second position, to enable the first and second projecting portions to respectively fit into the first and second recessed portions.

A junction box-driver assembly includes a housing that is configured to route electrical wiring to a luminaire therethrough and house a driver module therein. The housing includes a back plate that defines a junction box cavity and a driver cavity that is disposed adjacent to and in fluid communication with the junction box cavity. Further, the housing includes a junction box cover that is coupled to the back plate and configured to cover the junction box cavity that is configured to route the electrical wiring therethrough and/or enclose wire connections therein. Furthermore, the housing includes a driver cavity cover that is removably coupled to the back plate to cover the driver cavity that is configured to house the driver module therein. The junction-box driver assembly further includes a mounting strut that is removably coupled to the housing and configured to releasably lock the junction box-driver assembly to a mounting frame.

The mounting bracket can have first and second bracket portions positioned about a central longitudinal axis of the mounting bracket. The mounting bracket can also include at least one pair of telescoping shafts interconnecting the first and second bracket portions. The mounting bracket can also include at least one spring positioned to bias the at least one pair of telescoping shafts to an extended configuration. The luminaire can have at least one spring member selectively engageable with at least one shaft of the at least one pair of telescoping shafts to selectively interconnect the luminaire and the mounting bracket.

The direct and indirect light sources can be provided in arrays of light emitting diodes (LEDs) oriented along desired axes. In some versions, the light fixtures described herein include a direct lighting array having one or more LEDs oriented to project light downwardly and an indirect lighting array having a plurality of LEDs oriented to project light in a transverse direction. Further, the light fixtures can include an indirect lighting member configured to be illuminated by the plurality of LEDs of the indirect lighting array. Additionally, or alternatively, the light fixtures described herein can include one or more controllers that are configured to independently operate the direct and indirect lighting arrays. Moreover, the indirect lighting array can be configured to emit light in a plurality of colors to visually convey information.
