Furthermore, the housing includes a driver cavity cover that is removably coupled to the back plate to cover the driver cavity that is configured to house the driver module therein. The junction-box driver assembly further includes a mounting strut that is removably coupled to the housing and configured to releasably lock the junction box-driver assembly to a mounting frame.

LED module with mounting brackets

A light module includes a heat sink and one or more light sources coupled within a heat sink cavity formed therein. The heat sink includes an internal surface surrounding the cavity. The internal surface includes a mounting region, a reflector region extending from the perimeter of the mounting region to a distal end, and a decorative region extending from the distal end to a second distal end. The light module includes multiple mounting pads coupled circumferentially around a portion of the heat sink. The mounting pads are configured to facilitate the heat sink being coupled within different housing diameter sizes. The light module includes a trim ring integrally formed with the heat sink and extending radially outward from one end of the heat sink.

Recessed housing clip

A friction clip includes a coupling portion having a coupling element, a middle portion adjacent the coupling portion, and an end portion adjacent the middle portion and opposite the coupling portion. The middle portion includes a bent out tab having a first interference edge configured to engage an internal wall of a first canister having a first diameter and the end portion includes a second interference edge configured to engage an internal wall of a second canister having a second diameter. Alternatively, a multi-part friction clip includes a first member that is couplable to a light module, and a second member that is removably couplable to the first member. The second member includes a coupling portion configured to removably engage with the first member, a middle portion having a bent out tab that includes a first interference edge, and an end portion that includes a second interference edge.

A friction blade trim retention system is disclosed. The friction blade trim retention system uses friction blades that are biased radially outward to engage the interior wall of a can housing to hold a trim assembly of a recessed light fixture therein. The system includes vertical translating components that include spring biased detents to toggle between an upper position and a lower position. The detent lower position allows the installer to install the friction blade inside the can in a first step. The installer in the second step pushes the trim assembly upward into the can to engage the upper detent, thus completing installation.

Interface for Cover Plate

A system for mounting pendant lighting fixtures includes an interface component adapted to be at least partially retained in an opening defined by a ceiling. The interface component defines at least one aperture to accommodate a hanging support extending through the opening and configured to support a pendant lighting fixture. The system includes a cover plate defining at least one aperture to accommodate the hanging support. The system also includes at least one magnetic element operable to exert a magnetic bias on the cover plate to secure the cover plate against the interface component and at least partially cover the opening.

Track lighting system

A modular system comprising track-mounted fixtures and track is described. In some embodiments, fixtures access electrical power through electrified railings recessed within a relatively narrow power slot of the track. Primary mechanical support of the fixture weight is optionally provided from a magnetic mounting surface surrounding the power slot. The track cross-section optionally provides mounting surface area on mounting wings, allowing a narrower slot housing. Optionally, secondary mechanical support provided within the slot comprises a deployable anchoring element which laterally expands into a receiving area. Optionally, deployment comprises rotation of the anchoring element. The anchoring element, in some embodiments, acts as a secondary mechanical support, preventing, for example, accidental detachment of the fixture from the slot, without preventing repositioning movements of the fixture along the slot, even when fully deployed.

Lighting fixture for sloped ceiling

A recessed lighting fixture for installation in an inclined ceiling has an enclosure and a lighting assembly pivotal relative to the enclosure through a first and second range of relative angles such that an optical axis can be aligned vertically for the first and second ranges. First and second trim element are adapted for use with the first and second ranges of inclinations. The first and second trim elements have optical element aligned at different angles, and a relative angle between the optical elements and the reflector plane is less than or equal to 10 degrees. An angle indicator provides a proper relative angle of the lighting assembly and a trim indicator provides an indication of a proper trim element.
