Downlight apparatus with angularly adjustable light source and support
The downlight apparatus includes a surface rim, a rotation bracket, a bowl housing and a light source. The surface rim has an rim edge and a lateral wall. The rotation bracket includes a bracket body and two arms. Each arm has an arm bottom and a arm top. The rotation bracket is attached to the lateral wall. The bowl housing has a bowl edge. The bowl edge defines a light opening. The arm tops of the two arms are attached to the bowl edge. The bowl housing is rotatable with a tilt angle with respect to the arm tops. The light source is mounted inside the bowl housing for emitting a light from the light opening.
Integrated ceiling device with mechanical arrangement for a light source
An integrated ceiling device includes integrated ceiling device including an electronic device housing, a heat dissipating structure, a light source, and a reflection/refraction assembly. An air gap is defined between the electronics housing and other components allowing ambient air to flow therethrough for cooling.
Downlight fixture housing fabrication
A downlight fixture housing fabrication method in which upper and lower downlight fixture housing portions are formed in separate steps and joined by press-fitting, a bonding agent, pinning, and/or threaded engagement.
Light fixture installation adapters and methods thereof
Light fixture installation adapters and methods thereof are disclosed. According to an aspect, a light fixture installation adapter includes a first bracket configured to be attached to a light fixture. The adapter also includes a second bracket configured to be attached to an electrical junction box. Further, the adapter includes a mounting assembly that has a first component and a second component attached to the first bracket and the second bracket, respectively. The first component is configured to engage with and to attach to the second component when the first component is oriented in a predetermined position with respect to the second component and when the first component is moved in one or more predetermined directions with respect to the second component for attaching the first bracket to the second bracket via the mounting assembly.
Housing apparatus for installation of ceiling or wall-mounted electrical appliances
A preferably prefabricated and generally rigid recessed housing that may be inserted into a ceiling, wall, or floor to facilitate installation of various electrically powered apparatuses such as ceiling fans, exhaust fans, lighting fixtures, speakers, etc. is provided. Combining the various electrically powered apparatuses with the various embodiments of the prefabricated recessed housing provides additional advantages that include: the creation of a work space large enough for a person to install, from inside the room, a variety of electrically powered apparatuses. The housing may be designed in various shapes, and the generalized construction of the recessed housing comprises a top surface, side walls, and a bottom that is open but that may feature a full perimeter close out lip that extends beyond the side walls. The housing may further include a plurality of securing flanges for engaging bendable securing fins that may be present on the housing apparatus.
Luminaire Retention
A retention structure for retaining a recessed lighting fixture behind a ceiling includes an attachment structure that has a first wall and a second wall. The attachment structure is designed to be attached to a housing of a recessed light fixture. The retention structure further includes a screw attached to the first wall of the attachment structure and to the second wall of the attachment structure. The retention structure also includes a pawl attached to the threaded screw. The pawl is rotatable along with the threaded screw. The pawl is also axially movable along the threaded screw between the first wall of the attachment structure and the second wall of the attachment structure.
Thin profile surface mount lighting apparatus
A thin profile surface mount LED lighting apparatus includes a housing, an LED board including multiple uniformly distributed LEDs, and a lens. The lens has a back side facing the LED board and a front side that provides a downward facing surface when the LED lighting apparatus is installed in an opening of a ceiling. The lens is disposed with respect to the LED board such that the LEDs illuminate the back side of the lens. A first spacing of the LEDs causes resulting light from the downward facing surface of the lens to be substantially uniform during operation of the apparatus. In one example, a thin front edge of a sidewall of the housing, forming a perimeter around the lens, is flush with the lens and is appreciably thin (e.g., a thickness of less than three millimeters), and a depth of the sidewall housing is less than one inch.
Pot light assembly
A pot light assembly includes a rail and a pot light housing for housing a pot light. The rail has end portions for resting on upwardly facing surfaces of a pair of ceiling joists and a central portion between the end portions. The central portion is secured to a side wall at a top portion of the housing for supporting the housing between the ceiling joists. The pot light assembly further includes a pair of fastening brackets for securing the rail to the ceiling joists. Each bracket has a fastening plate positioned below the rail. The fastening plates have respective fastening holes through which a fastener can be secured to respective ceiling joists to fasten the fastening plates to the ceiling joists.
DUAL-MODULAR DOWNLIGHT
Disclosed herein is a downlight, which includes an optoelectronic module and a rim module. The optoelectronic module includes a light source driving board, a back housing, and a front housing. The light source driving board is disposed between the back housing and the front housing. The light source driving board includes a light-emitting diode unit and a driving circuit. The rim module has a central opening for accommodating the optoelectronic module. The rim module includes a tubular wall and a fastener, in which the fastener is fixed on the tubular wall. The fastener has a first bent portion and a second bent portion, in which the first bent portion is configured to be fixed in the accommodation hole, and the second bent portion is fixed on the tubular wall of the downlight.
Luminaire Trim Attachment Mechanism And Mounting Bracket Attachment Mechanism
A luminaire includes a light module body and a trim attachment mechanism. The trim attachment mechanism includes a first lever with a first cam on a first side of the light module body and a second lever with a second cam on a second side of the light module body. The first lever and the second lever can both be rotated between a release position that releases and attached trim and an engage position that engages an attached trim. The luminaire can also include a mounting bracket mechanism with a recess circumscribing the light module body and a pair of notches on opposite sides. Torsion spring brackets can be shaped to rotate freely in the recess, whereas friction blade brackets are secured in the notches so that the friction blades do not rotate relative to the light module body.
