A lighting apparatus includes: a light source; a light-transmissive diffuser panel disposed to receive light emitted from the light source; a frame having an opening through which light passes; and a light blocker that blocks the light emitted from the light source. The diffuser panel is fixed to the frame to cover the opening. The light blocker blocks a portion of the light passing through the opening.

A luminous means comprising a substrate having a first main surface, to which a first electrode is applied, a second electrode, an organic layer stack within an active region of the substrate between the first and the second electrode, wherein the organic layer stack comprises at least one organic layer which is suitable for generating light, and at least one reflective element, which is formed along a main plane of the luminous means, wherein the luminous means has two operating states, such that the luminous means is an illumination source in a first operating state and the luminous means is a mirror in a second operating state.

A daylighting member includes a first daylighting section and a second daylighting section having different daylighting properties from the first daylighting section. The first daylighting section includes an optically transparent first substrate and a plurality of optically transparent daylighting portions provided on a first surface of the first substrate. A door handle includes a handle body and a removable cartridge. The cartridge is insertable into and removable from an interior cavity of the handle body. The cartridge includes a light-emitting diode and a sensor. The light-emitting diode illuminates based on conditions sensed by the sensor. Upon pressing of a release button, the cartridge may be released from the interior cavity.

A lighting system integrated into a door and adjacent baseboard which provides a seamless light between the door and baseboard. Multiple lighted strips integrated into channels within the door and baseboard provide a concealed lighting system. By utilizing a concealed hinge, retractable conduit, and light spacing, the lighting system provides a consistent illumination.
