ILLUMINATION ASSEMBLIES USING MAGNETIC ATTACHMENT AND ACTIVATION
In a general aspect, an illumination assembly includes an article including a body having a first magnetic element with at least one electrically conductive surface. The illumination assembly also includes a light assembly including a housing, a second magnetic element, a light source, and a power source. A first terminal of the light source is electrically connected with a first terminal of the power source. The light assembly also includes a first electrical contact disposed on the housing and electrically coupled with a second terminal of the light source. The light assembly also includes a second electrical contact disposed on the housing and electrically coupled with a second terminal of the power source. Magnetically coupling the light assembly with the article, via the first magnetic element and the second magnetic element, electrically couples the first electrical contact with the second electrical contact to energize the light source.
GERM PROTECTOR FOR CAKES AND DESSERTS
A cover for a food item includes a sidewall and a top. The cover is made of a plastic material that is at least one of rigid, transparent, fire retardant, and dishwasher safe. The top is integrally coupled to the sidewall and together with the sidewall forms an interior space to enclose the food item located therein. The top comprises an upper surface having a feature configured to secure a candle to the top. The feature is at least one of a recess and a protrusion. The cover is configured to protect the food item from airborne contamination released by a person while blowing out the candle.
Illuminated bottle stopper
An illuminated bottle stopper mainly includes a lighting, plug body and light transmission tube, where the lighting is a light transmission decoration of a preset shape with an optoelectronic unit configured on the bottom thereof, the plug body is tapered and assembled on the bottom of the base, a passage is longitudinally configured inside the plug body, one end of the light transmission tube is in connection with the passage of the plug body bottom, and a light source is configured to illuminate the light transmission tube, thereby allowing light to be scattered inside and outside a bottle when the plug body is inserted in the mouth of the bottle.
BEVERAGE RECEPTACLE LIGHT ASSEMBLY
This invention is directed to lighting apparatus having a gravity switch that is attached to the lid of a beverage container. The light is on when the lid is closed thus lighting the beverage from the top. This is particularly enjoying when the beverage is colored carbonated such as beer with the light interacts with the bubbles of carbonation.
FOODWARE SYSTEM HAVING VISUAL-STIMULATING AND SENSING COMPONENTS
An active foodware system senses food characteristics, such as weight, calories, and other nutrition. Dining dishes are removably mated with dish holders supported by a mechanical structure having visual stimulating, sensing, and wireless communication components. A visual stimulating component emits light from a dining dish. The mechanical structure protects the components and circuitry from liquid. The system may include a camera. Other components may provide data processing, auditory and haptic stimuli, wireless power, temperature sensing, and heating of food. Data related to the food is displayed on a visual stimulating component of a computer or mobile communication device, such as a mobile phone or tablet computer. The data may also be sent to the internet. Computer software displays nutrition information on the visual stimulating component, which may be displayed before, during, and/or after dining. Computer software may also provide visual and auditory encouragement for children to eat.
Illuminated Double Wall Lens Indicia Drinking Vessel
A double walled illuminated vessel for displaying indicia comprising an outer sleeve, an inner liner, a lens, a transparent or translucent connection ring, a base and an illumination module adapted to be inserted into the base whereby the base and connection ring are connected to each other creating a base illumination unit. Light from the illumination module passes through the hollow space between the outer sleeve and the inner liner such that the lens bearing indicia is illuminated thus prominently displaying any desired graphic, logo, design, trademark, symbol, letter, number or any other indicia. The connection ring transmits and diffuses light through the inner liner and upper rim as well as the sidewall of the connection ring. The base illumination unit is removable from the outer sleeve and can be used as an independent light source by a user. Additionally, the illumination module is rechargeable in one embodiment and can provide an adequate charge to a mobile device. Further embodiments provided for a removable lens or lens unit.
Packaging with illumination system and methods of operating the same
A packaging subassembly for containing at least one foodstuff item. The packaging subassembly includes at least one foodstuff item container and foodstuff-containing packaging portion. The foodstuff-containing packaging portion supports the at least one foodstuff item container. The foodstuff-containing packaging portion includes an illuminator having one or more light sources that is configured to produce light for illuminating the at least one foodstuff item container. A packaging assembly is also disclosed. A method is also disclosed.
COOKWARE ITEM HAVING AN OUTPUT UNIT AND METHOD FOR OPERATING THE COOKWARE ITEM
A cookware item includes: a cooking container for receiving food to be cooked and/or a lid for closing the cooking container; at least one handle for handling the cookware item, a handle body of the handle being force-transmittingly connected to the cooking container and/or to the lid of the cookware item by a handle connection part of the handle; an insulating part of the cookware item being disposed between the handle connection part and/or the lid to reduce a transfer of heat to the handle body; and an output unit at least partially integrated into the handle body and for visually outputting information to a user of the cookware item, the output unit having at least one light source, the light source being controllable by a controller of the cookware item and configured to be supplied with electrical power by a power source of the cookware item.
Attachable Battery-Powered Light Assembly for Illuminating a Bottle and Method for Illuminating a Bottle with a Light Assembly
A battery-powered light can be installed in a punt of a bottle during manufacture and then turned on at use. The battery-powered light includes a skid pad that is free of adhesive. A battery insulator pull tab overlies the skid pad and can be removed even after adhering the light assembly to the bottle. The battery insulator pull tab prevents the battery of the light assembly from discharging before being needed. The skid pad prevents adhesive from sticking to the insulator pull tab, thereby making it otherwise unremovable.
