Power Generation Apparatus

Disclosed are power generation apparatuses. An exemplary power generation apparatus (1) is configured such that water vapor generated in a steam generator (2) is supplied to a scroll expander (3) to drive the scroll expander, wherein: a condensation device (5) is arranged in a discharge path (12) downstream of the scroll expander, the condensation device being configured to mix water vapor having passed through the scroll expander directly with cooling water to condense the water vapor; and the condensation device includes a control unit (10) that performs a control of adjusting the amount of cooling water supply so as to obtain condensed water having a predetermined temperature.

Water cooled CO boiler floor with screen gas distribution inlet

A carbon monoxide (CO) boiler or steam generator having a water cooled CO boiler floor with screen gas distribution inlet to enhance distribution of CO gas in a CO boiler. Either the front or rear wall tubes of the steam generator form an integral screen and the tubes continue, forming a membraned, gas tight enclosure. The floor has a knee to redirect the incoming waste CO gas up into the integral screen. The screen may be provided with tube erosion shields to prevent erosion of the screen tubes and to control the distribution of waste gas across the plan area of the furnace.

INDUCED DRAFTING IN PROCESS HEATERS

A method includes initiating operation of a heat source within a process heater for providing a heat load and generating heated flue gases, generating steam within a heat exchanger via the heated flue gases and cooling the heated flue gases into cooled flue gases, and inducing a draft within the process heater by injecting the steam through an ejector fluidly coupled to the process heater above or after the heat exchanger to receive the cooled flue gases.

A non-oxygen-consuming energy storage system includes: an interconnecting pipe, connecting a heat recovery boiler or a flue gas header to a chimney or its flue gas duct; a gas inducing equipment along the interconnecting pipe, inducing gas inside the heat recovery boiler to enter the interconnecting pipe through the chimney and then enter the heat recovery boiler; and a heater along the interconnecting pipe and heating up the gas in the interconnecting pipe, and using electricity or other non-oxygen-consuming heating devices as a heat source. Thereby, the gas in the heat recovery boiler is circulated and heated up by the system, and pipelines and components of each unit are kept in a hot standby condition, thus under an emergency power demand on the power grid, the combined cycle unit can rapidly ramp up its load to meet the demand, and can also reduce energy consumption during start-up stage.
