Steam generator

A steam generator that reduces the thermal and hydraulic unevenness in the steam generator, improves the filling capacity of the steam generator with heat exchange tubes, organizes an economizer portion of the heat exchange surface in the steam generator, and reduces the concentration of corrosive impurities in the weld zone of the primary circuit to the horizontal shell. To solve the task in such steam generator containing the horizontal shell and other component, the heat exchange tubes are located in vertical planes, and the inlet and outlet manifolds of the primary circuit are arranged horizontally. The steam generator can also be equipped with at least two output manifolds of the primary circuit furthers, the feed water dispenser can be located below the heat exchange tubes of the steam generator.

Process fired heater configuration

An apparatus for a fired heater is presented. The fired heater is designed with process coils inside a shell, and with a positioning of the burners for reducing the size of the fired heater. The shell has a general rectangular prismatic shape with combustion inlets for admitting combustion gases from the burners, and the process coils include at least two inlet ports and at least one outlet port.

Throttle device

A throttle device for varying the pressure of a fluid in a plurality of parallel outlets includes a fluid collector having at least an internal chamber, an inlet and a plurality of outlets for the fluid, and a control element displaceably mounted in the internal chamber of the fluid collector and comprises a plurality of orifices, the cross-section of which can be varied by a relative movement of the control element in relation to the fluid collector. The control element is a sleeve, wherein the orifices are disposed in the sleeve such that they correspond to the outlets of the fluid collector, wherein between the sleeve and the fluid collector seals are provided, such that in a region between of an outside surface of the sleeve and an inside surface surrounding the internal chamber of the fluid collector no fluid communication takes place between the orifices of the sleeve.

System and method for top platform assembly of heat recovery steam generator (HRSG)

A heat recovery steam generator (HRSG) includes a base and a top platform assembly disposed on the base. The top platform assembly includes a first top platform auxiliary module having a first rectangular frame in which a steam manifold is disposed, a second top platform auxiliary module having a second rectangular frame in which a high pressure (HP) drum is disposed, and a third top platform auxiliary module having a third rectangular frame in which a low pressure (LP) drum and an intermediate pressure (IP) drum are disposed. Each top platform auxiliary module may be pre-assembled on the ground prior to be raised to elevation for installed on the base.

Steam generator for fuel cell system

A steam generator for a fuel cell system having a heat exchanger (34) with at least one internal heat exchange surface, a water inflow pipe (46), a dripper head (52) with a flow passageway fluidly connected to the water inflow pipe (46). The dripper head (52) extends inside the heat exchanger (52) above the heat exchange surface for feeding water down onto the heat exchange surface for conversion into steam. The dripper head (52) has outlet holes (56) spaced along the flow passageway and between adjacent outlet (holes 56) the dripper head has a stepped profile on at least its underside to prevent droplets from adjacent holes coalescing. A fuel inflow pipe can have a section mounted coaxially to a part of the water inflow pipe (46). The fuel inflow pipe's section can surround the water inflow pipe's part. In a fuel cell system with a steam generator, the steam generator can include the fuel inflow pipe and a combined steam and fuel outlet and a reformer directly or indirectly connected downstream of the steam generator.
