Modular heat recovery steam generator construction

A method for installing a heat recovery steam generator (1) with a plurality of pre-assembled modules (10) includes arranging a pre-assembled module (10) at an installation site. The pre-assembled module (10) includes a functional unit of the heat recovery steam generator (1) housed in a casing structure (12). The casing structure (12) includes a top casing (12a), a bottom casing (12b) and a side casing (12c). An open side (15) is defined opposite to the side casing (12c). The module (10) is arranged horizontally at the installation site with the open side (15) facing downward and the side casing (12c) facing upward. The method includes attaching a structural steel (13) to the side casing (12c) in a horizontal position without lifting the module (10). The module (10) with the attached structural steel (13) is lifted to a vertical position and secured to a foundation (60). Also described is a method for pre-assembling the module (10) and a method for transporting the pre-assembled module (10) to the installation site.

A particle separator module and a heat exchange chamber module connectable to a circulating fluidized bed boiler. The particle separator module includes 2N vertically aligned steam tubes, N being an integer greater than one. Each of the vertically aligned steam tubes is attached to a boiler upper portion and extends downwards to a predetermined level. Each of the 2N vertically aligned steam tubes is attached to one of N first beams. Each of the N first beams is suspended to hang in a horizontal position at the predetermined level by two adjacent steam tubes of the 2N vertically aligned steam tubes. N second beams are attached in a horizontal position to the top surface of the heat exchange chamber module, which is arranged to be suspended from the particle separator module by having each of the N second beams suspended by two adjacent beams of the N first beams.

Method for erecting a boiler, module and boiler comprising the module

The method for erecting a boiler includes erecting a main structure, providing preassembled modules defining a boiler section, installing the modules outside the main structure.

A method for measuring mass changes of a heat exchanger bank (1, 2, 3) or the heat exchangers thereof of a steam boiler, which heat exchanger (4) is supported by hanger rods (7) to support beams (5,8) above the steam boiler, wherein at least one hanger rod (7) of at least one heat exchanger (4) is connected a lower measuring element (9) and an upper measuring element (10), and the changes of the measuring length (X) between the measuring elements (9, 10) is measured by a measuring instrument (15) connected between the measuring elements (9, 10) for measuring the mass changes of the heat exchanger (4). The measuring instrument (15) may be attached in between the measuring elements (9, 10) and the change in the measuring length (X) is measured by the deformation of the measuring instrument (15). A connecting member (11) parallel to the hanger rod (7) may be located between the measuring elements (9, 10), which connecting member (11) relays the change in the length to the measuring instrument (15). An elastic member (16) may be attached between the measuring element (9) and the upper measuring element (10).
