Steam generator sludge lance apparatus

A sludge lance for a tube and shell steam generator that has a central divider plate that extends substantially the length of a central tube lane substantially bisecting a hand hole through which the tube lane can be accessed. The sludge lance has a nozzle with a spring biased, reciprocally movable plunger that extends against the divider plate and is locked in position by a stream of high pressure cleaning fluid that traverses the nozzle and exits through jets to clean sludge from between the tubes. An alignment tool with a swing arm indexes the jets to assure they are properly aligned with the tube rows and spaced from the divider plate.

A system of generating steam from an emulsion stream produced from a reservoir via thermal recovery has a heat exchanger for adjusting the emulsion to a first temperature; at least one separation device for separating water from the emulsion at the first temperature to obtain produced water; an optional produced water preheater, and a high pressure evaporator for receiving the produced water and generating steam using the produced water.

An evaporator has a vapor drum; a heating element receiving the water stream, and in fluid communication with the vapor drum via a pressure letdown device; a heating source for imparting sensible heat to the water stream for generating steam.

The evaporator also includes a recirculation pump for circulation of blowdown concentrate, and a bubble generator for generating bubbles and injecting generated bubbles into the heating element to enable self-removal of scales and other solid deposits in the evaporator.

STEAM GENERATOR

A steam generator for generating steam by boiling water, or other hot water heating device, in either case such as for use in a steam cooker or warewasher, includes a tank structure providing a heating chamber for holding water, and at least one heating element associated with the tank structure for heating water. The tank structure includes a main body wall having a U-shaped cross-sectional profile formed by opposed first and second side wall portions of the heating chamber and a curved bottom wall portion of the heating chamber, wherein the curved bottom wall portion is monolithic with the first and second side wall portions, wherein the main body wall is sheet metal material that has been curved.

Controlling cooling flow in a sootblower based on lance tube temperature
09671183 · 2017-06-06 · ·

A cleaning system and method for cleaning heat transfer surfaces in a boiler using a temperature measuring system for measuring and monitoring wall temperature of an annular wall of the tube of a lance of one or more sootblowers. Controlling a flow of steam or other fluid through the tube during the cooling portions of the strokes based on wall temperature measurements from the temperature measuring system. Infrared or thermocouple temperature measuring systems may be used. The steam or other fluid may be flowed at a default flowrate that may be substantially zero until the temperature measuring system indicates the wall temperature of the annular wall begins to exceed a predetermined temperature limit which may be the softening point of the annular wall. Then the steam or other fluid is flowed at a rate greater than the default flowrate.

Steam generation method and method for recovering crude oil by steam-assisted gravity drainage (SAGD) including said steam generation method

The method include (a) compressing the feed water at a low pressure; (b) filtering the feed water; (c) compressing the filtered water stream at a medium pressure; (d) supplying the filtered water stream, compressed at a medium pressure, in the liquid phase of an instant expansion tank; (e) in the tank, heating the stream of step (d) by mixing with the recycled stream (h); (f) compressing again at a high pressure the liquid fraction in the tank and supplying it to the heat exchanger inlet; (g) heating the liquid fraction in the exchanger while maintaining the liquid fraction in the liquid state; (h) recycling the fraction from the step (g) in the tank; and (i) expanding the stream of the step (h) in the expansion tank, generating by instant expansion the searched steam; and (j) separating the solid particles formed as a second blowdown containing water and the particles.

Deep cleaning alignment equipment

Systems and methods for cleaning a heat recovery steam generator system including tubes and fins associated therewith using deep cleaning alignment equipment are described. The deep cleaning alignment equipment primarily includes at least one wedge and at least one wand. The wedge may be an elongate wedge configured to maximize the surface area that contacts the tubes and fins, which in turn minimizes the amount of stress about any specific point of the tubes or the fins. Additionally, the wedge may be made of a variety of different materials. The wedge may include multiple pieces that can be releasably secured together. The wedge may also have at least one opening formed therein to assist in removal of the wedge from the system.
