HIGH-CAPACITY IGNITER
An improved and high capacity gas igniter for furnaces and burners. The igniter can include an igniter tip that is annular in shape and includes various holes of different sizes and angular projections distributed throughout. The igniter tip may utilize a slip-joint-like mechanism or sleeve that connects inner and outer tubes of a guide tube that allows the inner tube to slide when undergoing thermal expansion. This configuration alleviates stress from building up on the inner tube and igniter tip, preventing damage.
Double swirl burner
A double swirl burner including an annular air nozzle, an annular fuel nozzle coaxially disposed within the annular air nozzle, and a central air nozzle coaxially disposed within the annular fuel nozzle. An annular air nozzle may include at least one first inlet port on a peripheral wall of the annular air nozzle, where the first inlet port may be configured to allow for tangentially injecting a first air stream into the annular air nozzle. A first air stream may be tangent to a circular cross-section of the exemplary annular air nozzle, and a first axial inlet that may be configured to allow for axially injecting a second air stream into the annular air nozzle along a centerline of the annular air nozzle.
Double swirl burner
A double swirl burner including an annular air nozzle, an annular fuel nozzle coaxially disposed within the annular air nozzle, and a central air nozzle coaxially disposed within the annular fuel nozzle. An annular air nozzle may include at least one first inlet port on a peripheral wall of the annular air nozzle, where the first inlet port may be configured to allow for tangentially injecting a first air stream into the annular air nozzle. A first air stream may be tangent to a circular cross-section of the exemplary annular air nozzle, and a first axial inlet that may be configured to allow for axially injecting a second air stream into the annular air nozzle along a centerline of the annular air nozzle.
PILOT FUEL NOZZLE ASSEMBLY WITH VENTED VENTURI
A pilot fuel nozzle assembly includes a fuel nozzle, a swirler, and a vented pilot venturi. The vented pilot venturi has an annular wall with an oxidizer flow passage therein. An expansion flow surface portion of the venturi has a larger diameter at an outlet than at a throat of the venturi. A plurality of venturi oxidizer outlet ports extend through the expansion flow surface to the oxidizer flow passage within the annular wall to provide a flow of oxidizer through the venturi wall into a mixing cavity of the venturi and at an outlet end of the venturi. The oxidizer outlet ports are circumferentially spaced about a circumference of the expansion flow surface, and may be arranged in a plurality of rows. The oxidizer outlet ports may be angled with respect to the expansion flow surface and may angled circumferentially in a co-swirl direction with the swirler.
PILOT FUEL NOZZLE ASSEMBLY WITH VENTED VENTURI
A pilot fuel nozzle assembly includes a fuel nozzle, a swirler, and a vented pilot venturi. The vented pilot venturi has an annular wall with an oxidizer flow passage therein. An expansion flow surface portion of the venturi has a larger diameter at an outlet than at a throat of the venturi. A plurality of venturi oxidizer outlet ports extend through the expansion flow surface to the oxidizer flow passage within the annular wall to provide a flow of oxidizer through the venturi wall into a mixing cavity of the venturi and at an outlet end of the venturi. FUEL NOZZLE WITH INTEGRATED METERING AND FLASHBACK SYSTEM
A fuel supply system for an aircraft engine, comprises a gaseous fuel source and a fuel nozzle. The fuel nozzle includes a housing having a housing interior chamber and a fuel swirler disposed inside the housing interior chamber. The fuel swirler is fluidly connected to the gaseous fuel source for directing gaseous fuel to a combustor of the aircraft engine. The fuel swirler defines a gaseous fuel path extending from a fuel inlet to a fuel outlet. The gaseous fuel path includes a plurality of discrete apertures distributed around a circumference of the fuel swirler, each of the plurality of discrete apertures having a cross-sectional area selected to prevent a flame from propagating in an upstream direction through the gaseous fuel path towards the gaseous fuel source.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DRYING MATERIAL AND ASPHALT MIXING FACILITY HAVING SUCH AN APPARATUS
An apparatus for drying material for an asphalt mixing facility includes a rotary kiln rotatably drivable about an axis of rotation, in which the material is dried, wherein the rotary kiln has a material inlet and a material outlet, a heating unit coupled to the rotary kiln for feeding heat to the rotary kiln, wherein the heating unit is designed with a burner which has a burner housing having a longitudinal axis, an air duct arranged at the burner housing for feeding air, a swirling element for swirling the air in the burner housing relative to the longitudinal axis, a hydrogen gas line connected to the burner for feeding hydrogen gas into the burner, wherein a hydrogen gas nozzle is connected to the hydrogen gas line for discharging the hydrogen gas, a burner head arranged at the burner housing for generating a burner flame.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DRYING MATERIAL AND ASPHALT MIXING FACILITY HAVING SUCH AN APPARATUS

COMBUSTOR
A combustor includes: a housing having an annular shape of which one end side is open and of which the other end side is closed; at least one introduction portion that introduces a fuel and an oxidizing gas into the housing to generate a tubular flow; and an ignition unit that ignites the fuel introduced into the housing. The ignition unit includes a discharge electrode and a ground electrode. A space that the fuel and the oxidizing gas reach is provided between the discharge electrode and the ground electrode.
COMBUSTOR
