LEAN PRE-MIX RADIANT WALL BURNER APPARATUS AND METHOD
A staged, lean pre-mix radiant wall burner having an internal staged fuel discharge tip and an internal flow diverter, and a method of using the radiant wall burner, which allow the combustion of a high hydrogen content fuel without the occurrence of flashbacks and which also provide reduced NO.sub.x emissions and allow a closer spacing of the burners when installed in a wall, floor, or ceiling of a fired heater in a multiple burner arrangement.

Baffle assembly for modifying transitional flow effects between different cavities
A baffle assembly and burner including the baffle assembly. The baffle assembly includes a collar having a central axis. A plurality of vanes are secured to the collar. Each vane includes a leg extending from the collar at a first angle with respect to the central axis. The first angle of the leg is configured to impart rotation to a flow of fluid through the baffle assembly. An impingement plate extends from the leg at a second angle with respect to the central axis. The second angle is greater than the first angle.
Double swirl burner
A double swirl burner including an annular air nozzle, an annular fuel nozzle coaxially disposed within the annular air nozzle, and a central air nozzle coaxially disposed within the annular fuel nozzle. An annular air nozzle may include at least one first inlet port on a peripheral wall of the annular air nozzle, where the first inlet port may be configured to allow for tangentially injecting a first air stream into the annular air nozzle. A first air stream may be tangent to a circular cross-section of the exemplary annular air nozzle, and a first axial inlet that may be configured to allow for axially injecting a second air stream into the annular air nozzle along a centerline of the annular air nozzle.
Double swirl burner
A double swirl burner including an annular air nozzle, an annular fuel nozzle coaxially disposed within the annular air nozzle, and a central air nozzle coaxially disposed within the annular fuel nozzle. An annular air nozzle may include at least one first inlet port on a peripheral wall of the annular air nozzle, where the first inlet port may be configured to allow for tangentially injecting a first air stream into the annular air nozzle. A first air stream may be tangent to a circular cross-section of the exemplary annular air nozzle, and a first axial inlet that may be configured to allow for axially injecting a second air stream into the annular air nozzle along a centerline of the annular air nozzle.
PILOT FUEL NOZZLE ASSEMBLY WITH VENTED VENTURI
A pilot fuel nozzle assembly includes a fuel nozzle, a swirler, and a vented pilot venturi. The vented pilot venturi has an annular wall with an oxidizer flow passage therein. An expansion flow surface portion of the venturi has a larger diameter at an outlet than at a throat of the venturi. A plurality of venturi oxidizer outlet ports extend through the expansion flow surface to the oxidizer flow passage within the annular wall to provide a flow of oxidizer through the venturi wall into a mixing cavity of the venturi and at an outlet end of the venturi. The oxidizer outlet ports are circumferentially spaced about a circumference of the expansion flow surface, and may be arranged in a plurality of rows. The oxidizer outlet ports may be angled with respect to the expansion flow surface and may angled circumferentially in a co-swirl direction with the swirler.
PILOT FUEL NOZZLE ASSEMBLY WITH VENTED VENTURI
A pilot fuel nozzle assembly includes a fuel nozzle, a swirler, and a vented pilot venturi. The vented pilot venturi has an annular wall with an oxidizer flow passage therein. An expansion flow surface portion of the venturi has a larger diameter at an outlet than at a throat of the venturi. A plurality of venturi oxidizer outlet ports extend through the expansion flow surface to the oxidizer flow passage within the annular wall to provide a flow of oxidizer through the venturi wall into a mixing cavity of the venturi and at an outlet end of the venturi. The oxidizer outlet ports are circumferentially spaced about a circumference of the expansion flow surface, and may be arranged in a plurality of rows. The oxidizer outlet ports may be angled with respect to the expansion flow surface and may angled circumferentially in a co-swirl direction with the swirler.
RADIANT TUBE BURNER, RADIANT TUBE, AND METHOD OF DESIGNING RADIANT TUBE BURNER
A radiant tube burner, wherein an opening cross section of the tube is virtually divided into four areas with two straight lines as boundaries, the two straight lines being obtained by tilting a minor axis of the oval, which is a shape of the opening cross section, by ±45° with a center of the oval as a center, and a flow rate of primary combustion air injected from primary combustion air nozzles located in the areas containing the minor axis of the oval of the virtually divided four areas is lower than a flow rate of the primary combustion air injected from the primary combustion air nozzles located in the areas not containing the minor axis of the oval the four areas.
PASSIVELY COOLED ALUMINUM BARBECUE PIT
A powder coated aluminum barbecue pit burner that burns gas in the same way that stainless steel burner tubes do, but last longer and do not rust. The use of powder coated aluminum makes the burner according to the present invention corrosion resistant. Additionally, the powder coated aluminum burner of the present invention also contain a heat sink element that prevents the temperature of the tubes from getting too high. Controlling temperature and using powder coated aluminum burners, instead of stainless steel, ensures that the burner will last longer. Another embodiment utilizes a water cooled system in connection with the heat sink element.
PASSIVELY COOLED ALUMINUM BARBECUE PIT
A powder coated aluminum barbecue pit burner that burns gas in the same way that stainless steel burner tubes do, but last longer and do not rust. The use of powder coated aluminum makes the burner according to the present invention corrosion resistant. Additionally, the powder coated aluminum burner of the present invention also contain a heat sink element that prevents the temperature of the tubes from getting too high. Controlling temperature and using powder coated aluminum burners, instead of stainless steel, ensures that the burner will last longer. Another embodiment utilizes a water cooled system in connection with the heat sink element.
