A gas burner having a combustion chamber with a bottom and a circumferential wall. A plurality of fuel exit ports are disposed in the circumferential wall, and are directed generally inwardly toward the combustion chamber and upwardly from the bottom of the combustion chamber. The fuel exit ports are preferably directed inwardly at an angle that is slightly rotated from a central axis of the burner to create a swirling flame. A plurality of secondary air inlets extend through the bottom of the combustion chamber. An injector orifice is aligned with the central axis of the burner. The injector orifice is secured to the cooktop using a bracket, which has an orifice-securing surface, with two sidewalls extending therefrom and terminating in fastening flanges. The fastening flanges have asymmetrically arranged slots therein to receive tabs extending from the burner to ensure proper alignment of the burner and the injector orifice.

A burner includes a base and a combustion tray, wherein the base has an inlet pipe and two horn-shaped tubes. The horn-shaped tubes are connected to opposite sides of the inlet pipe, wherein each of the horn-shaped tubes respectively has a first section. A length of the first sections is no less than an inner diameter of the inlet pipe at where the horn-shaped tubes are connected to. The combustion tray is engaged with the base, and communicates with the horn-shaped tubes. Whereby, gas and air could be fully mixed while flowing through each of the first sections. The symmetrical horn-shaped tubes could direct the airflow to the combustion tray, where the airflow could be outputted from flame vents of the combustion tray, whereby to generate more even flame, and to enhance the heating efficiency.

A burner includes a diffuser wall delimiting an inner space in flow communication with an inlet passageway and forming a diffuser perforation for the gas mixture to pass from the inner space to an outer side of the diffuser wall where combustion occurs. A pilot chamber is formed in the inner space and delimited by a pilot portion of the diffuser wall, forming a pilot perforation, and by a pilot wall extended into the inner space. The pilot chamber forms pilot inlet openings supplying air/gas-air pre-mixture into the pilot chamber. A pilot gas opening supplies non-premixed fuel gas into the pilot chamber. A main chamber formed in the inner space is delimited by a diffuser wall main portion, forming a main perforation, and by the pilot wall.
