The fuel supply system includes a combustion chamber, at least one supply circuit, and at least one purge circuit, the purge circuit coupled to the at least one supply circuit, the purge circuit including at least two isolation valves defining a cavity between, a source of relatively high temperature purge air coupled in flow communication to the cavity through one of the at least two isolation valves, a source of relatively low temperature ventilation air coupled in flow communication to the cavity, and a vent coupled in flow communication to the cavity, the at least one purge circuit configured to channel a flow of relatively low temperature ventilation air from the source relatively low temperature ventilation air through the cavity to the vent during operation of the combustion chamber.

An oxygen removal unit is outwardly of the external surface of the fuel filter, such that fuel passes through the fuel filter, encounters the oxygen removal unit such that oxygen can be removed from the fuel, an outlet port for removed oxygen, and a separate outlet port for fuel having passed over the fuel filter and the oxygen removal unit.

A second flow rate of water supplied in the mid-switch water purging step is lower than a first flow rate of water supplied in the water supplying step. In the post-switch water purging step, water is temporarily supplied at a third flow rate which is higher than the second flow rate.

A method and system for transitioning a gas turbine from burning gaseous fuel to liquid fuel and purging the liquid fuel therefrom after transfer back to the gaseous fuel are disclosed herein. The method includes pressurizing a volume of liquid fuel in an accumulator with a first volume of motive gas. A valve is opened in response to low gaseous fuel pressure in the gas turbine to permit the volume of liquid fuel to flow through a conduit to the gas turbine. A volume of flushing medium is pressurized in the accumulator with a second volume of motive gas. The valve is opened to permit at least a portion of the volume of flushing medium to flow through the conduit to flush any of the volume of liquid fuel remaining in the conduit after the gas turbine consumes the volume of liquid fuel.
