PRESERVATIVE-FREE FREEZED-DRIED FOODS AND METHODS OF MAKING THE SAME
The present invention relates to novel freeze-dried confection compositions, and methods for making the same. There is a long-felt need for nutritious snacks that are preserved for long periods without preservatives and having acceptable flavor. The freeze-dried confections of the present invention comprise are composed of freeze-dried raw fruits and vegetables and other natural ingredients with no preservatives, and prepared in such a way that they can be preserved at room temperature for many years.
METHOD FOR REMOVING ETHYLENE FROM AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS
A method for removing ethylene from the atmosphere surrounding an agricultural product that is sensitive to ethylene, which promotes climacteric ripening and senescence, is disclosed. The method uses a membrane for selective ethylene permeation and removal from a container that is used to store, transport, and preserve the agricultural product.

Air composition adjusting device
An air composition adjusting device includes: an oxygen separator that separates oxygen from external air to be supplied to a target space; a gas supply path including a high concentration gas supply path for oxygen through which the oxygen separator communicates with the target space; and a controller that performs an oxygen concentration raising operation of supplying a high oxygen concentration gas, which has a higher oxygen concentration than external air before being treated by the oxygen separator, to the target space through the high concentration gas supply path for oxygen.
Method for Increasing the Shelf Life of Fruit
The present invention relates a method for increasing the shelf life of fruit comprising the steps of: treating a fruit with UV light from a UV light source, packaging the fruit in packaging film that allows the fruit to be stored in a modified atmosphere within said film, and storing the packaged fruit.
INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE, STORAGE CONTAINER, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE MEDIUM
A degradation status of a casing containing fresh items is to be grasped. An information processing device includes: an internal information acquisition unit acquiring internal information, which is information regarding an inside of a casing containing a fresh item in a refrigerated state or a frozen state; and a degradation information generation unit generating information regarding degradation of the casing based on the internal information acquired by the internal information acquisition unit. The internal information acquisition unit acquires, as the internal information, atmosphere information, which is information regarding an atmosphere inside the casing, and the degradation information generation unit generates the information regarding the degradation based on the atmosphere information.
TRANSPORT CONTAINER WITH GAS SELECTIVE MEMBRANE EXHAUST
Described herein is a method for operating a refrigerated shipping container containing respiring produce, the method including: passing a cooled CO.sub.2-rich air stream from an internal environment within the shipping container through a CO.sub.2 selective membrane of a membrane system to produce a cooled CO.sub.2-lean air stream and a CO.sub.2-rich permeate stream; retaining or returning the cooled CO.sub.2-lean air stream to the internal environment; and exhausting the CO.sub.2-rich permeate stream to an external environment outside of the shipping container; drawing external air or permitting external air to pass into the shipping container through an air vent with a pre-set fixed opening of the shipping container in a volume to at least balance a volume difference between the cooled CO.sub.2-rich air stream and the cooled CO.sub.2-lean air stream; wherein the membrane system is operated according to a pre-set mode, and the pre-set mode is independent of a measured gas concentration or pressure of the internal environment; and the pre-set fixed opening of the vent is selected based on one or more characteristics of the respiring produce and the pre-set mode of the membrane system.

AIR COMPOSITION ADJUSTMENT DEVICE, REFRIGERATION APPARATUS FOR TRANSPORTATION, AND TRANSPORT CONTAINER
In an air composition adjustment device configured to adjust composition of air in a target space, an air circuit configured to supply air having adjusted composition to the target space is provided with a first passage through which outside air is introduced into an adjuster, and a second passage which is branched from the first passage and through which outside air is introduced into the sensor, and the second passage is provided with a moisture removal portion configured to remove moisture in air introduced into the sensor. This reduces a risk of a failure of the sensor due to contact of the sensor with moisture passed through the passage introducing outside air into the sensor.
OXYGEN REMOVAL MODULE, FRESH-KEEPING DEVICE AND REFRIGERATOR
An oxygen removal module, a fresh-keeping device and a refrigerator. The oxygen removal module comprises: an electrolyte tank provided with a water inlet; and a water tank provided with a water outlet, the water outlet being connected to the water inlet through a first pipeline, to supplement water to the electrolyte tank by means of the water tank.
