A riser extends between the ground engaging base and upper firewood support, holding the two in parallel but vertically offset planes. In a most preferred embodiment, the ground engaging base and upper firewood support are stamped from a common sheet of metal, with the upper firewood support circumscribed in the original sheet of metal by the ground engaging base.

A stove includes a combustion chamber, a fuel grate positioned within the combustion chamber, and a pellet adapter removably positionable on the fuel grate. The fuel grate includes a number of first ventilation holes. The pellet adapter includes a number of second ventilation holes sized and shaped to prevent passage of a fuel pellet. The pellet adapter also includes a raised outer rim and a central protuberance with a height greater than the height of the raised outer rim.

An outdoor cooker and a kit of parts for assembling an outdoor cooker are disclosed. The outdoor cooker includes a fire pit, a vertical support mechanism for coupling to the fire pit, a cooking grill for coupling to the vertical support mechanism above the fire pit, and a mechanism for coupling to the vertical support mechanism that is operative to selectively move and secure the cooking grill to a desired position along the vertical support mechanism.

An outdoor cooker and a kit of parts for assembling an outdoor cooker are disclosed. The outdoor cooker includes a fire pit, a vertical support mechanism for coupling to the fire pit, a cooking grill for coupling to the vertical support mechanism above the fire pit, and a mechanism for coupling to the vertical support mechanism that is operative to selectively move and secure the cooking grill to a desired position along the vertical support mechanism.

According to an embodiment, a fireplace grate is disclosed. The fireplace grate includes a plurality of cross bars, a plurality of support bars, and a plurality of fasteners. The plurality of support bars and the plurality of cross bars can be nested together in a disassembled configuration. Each fastener is configured to extend through a hole in one of the cross bars and engage a corresponding threaded hole in one of the support bars so that each cross bar can be fastened to the plurality of support bars in an assembled configuration with each cross bar spanning the plurality of support bars. A width of the fireplace grate in the disassembled configuration is less than 50% of a width of the fireplace grate in the assembled configuration.

According to an embodiment, a fireplace grate is disclosed. The fireplace grate includes a plurality of cross bars, a plurality of support bars, and a plurality of fasteners. A heat and flame control assembly for a grill or other cooking appliance. The heat and flame control assembly includes a main heat plate and a slider plate disposed above the main heat plate. The main heat plate includes openings that allow direct heat to be provided to the food. The slider plate is movable with respect to the main heat plate, and also includes opening. When direct heat is desired, the slider plate is movable to align the openings in the slider plate with the openings of the main heat plate. However, when indirect heat is desired, the slider plate is movable to cover the openings of the main heat plate.

A heat and flame control assembly for a grill or other cooking appliance. The heat and flame control assembly includes a main heat plate and a slider plate disposed above the main heat plate. The main heat plate includes openings that allow direct heat to be provided to the food. The slider plate is movable with respect to the main heat plate, and also includes opening. When direct heat is desired, the slider plate is movable to align the openings in the slider plate with the openings of the main heat plate. However, when indirect heat is desired, the slider plate is movable to cover the openings of the main heat plate.
